I knew about the carrots, read about it when I was researching for the original Victor build all those years ago. Love the V bombers !

Tis indeed and does look more British old boy  ;D
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Captain Canada

lol Thanks Chris ! I'm going to touch up the pattern a wee bit, and once I add some big ol' roundels I'm sure she'll be right at home.

I can't help feeling the carrots should be painted orange...

Fred

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

wasted a bunch of time yesterday with the undercart. I decided to use that of the Victor kit. painting, cleaning up, gluing....and when I finally decided to check them against the aeroplane I realized the wheels were way too small ! D'oh  :banghead:

Yes, but there's LOTS of them.  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

Captain Canada

Ya for sure, but they just looked wrong. I'm going to try for a 4-wheeled main bogey set with a twin wheel nose gear, but if I can't find the parts I'll go pairs all the way around.

That looks rather purposeful. Awesome! If not epic.

I'm going this route on my Avro Atlantic Todd, mind it is in 1/72 and I'm using Nimrod wheels. Had to extend where the front axle is though --

If I'm not building models, I'm out riding my dirtbike

Captain Canada

Somat similar to that for sure, Robert.

I managed to source part of the underwing load yesterday, going with the centerline MERs from the old Monogram F-105 kit. The 750 lb. bombs with their fuses cut off are a close enough match to the old GPB to me, especially once they get some paint on them.

Couldn't find my bog o' wheels anywhere..... :banghead:

So what happened to this one?
I was enjoying it so much.. I dragged out an ancient Lindberg 1/96th Victor kit - to compare a 1/48th F.6 with, it appears to be a 'natural'..

Captain Canada

Right on ! It's just such a good looking pairing eh ? Like all of my projects, it seems as tho Spring rolled around and off to the shelf of doom she went ! I know where it is, so once I'm able I'll pull down the box and see where we're at !
