With the launch of HMS Queen Elizabeth the Royal Navy found itself needing a considerably larger Carrier-Onboard-Delivery aircraft than than the Fairey Gannets it had used up until that date for the emergency delivery and withdrawal of personnel and equipment that had to be rushed to it's carriers.

The Dornier Do.31 filled the bill perfectly.

The kit?  The Planet Resin.  It is my most expensive purchase to date.  I'm thinking about purchasing a second one...

See if you can get the Ludeman/Classic Plane version if possible, its slightly cheaper and has the lift pods opened for VTOL flight.

Must admit I like Planet resin's. They are good quality, build well and don't have lots of tiny fiddly bits that others include and then inevitably break when separating them from their webs

In four years I have seen one for sale on Evilbay.  I was too broke to buy it at the time.   As for price, that is very variable and highly dependent on the exchange rate for the Pacific Peso...

I agree but this one was missing several fiddly bits that I had to scratchbuild.  It was a nice model and it went together quite well and quickly, I have to admit (apart from the missing bits).
