Right at the start of that amazing sequence of the Me-163 there's a glimpse of an enormous Do-X model, and here's a vid  of it doing its thing at the same show. It's got TWELVE motors and retract gear that rather cleverly turns it into an amphibian.

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

It certainly is impressive.  But when building something that size why RC?  Why not sit in it and fly the thing yourself?

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Pah! It only has seven engines, and it was only running on six of them.

Pretty darned impressive though, he must have a HUGE Model Room!  :o

To fly it yourself, I guess you'd need a pilots licence

What I am waiting for is someone to put a webcam in the cockpit of a large RC model and connect the controls to a PC that allows you to fly it with the help of the PC.  A sort of "fly-by-wire[less]" system, so you can see what the pilot would see and still control the model...

I think various air forces do that already, the call them UAVs or somesuch.  ;D

Mind you, they have ENORMOUS budgets!

They do indeed but I'm looking for someone to give me one...  ;)
