Here is my lastest completion. The theme for our local club contest this year is "Movies and TV". This is my entry.

To Boldly Go;

Far Far Away:

And an over all photo of the diorama;

The Star Destroyer and the Enterprise are both AMT kits and were a PITA to build. The background is some lumber from the workshop and painted space black and the star ships are floating over a gas giant planet.

Some more photos:

Now, how did I get a Star Destroyer and the Enterprise together in space and time.  The little black plaque on the diorama explains it. Unfortunately, I didn't get a good photo.  But it reads:

"Scott to bridge. Capt'n I don't know what ye have done, but we be a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away."

We don't just embrace insanity here.  We feel it up, french kiss it and then buy it a drink.

Awesome!

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Excellent stuff Ed.  :thumbsup: :bow:

Nothing quite like having a handy time warp when you need one.  ;D

I like the 'Space Black' paint too, I wonder if Humbrol do that shade?  :lol:
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

I'm not sure that space rock is in a great place, looks like the Star Destroyer pooped in the second picture  :-\

Looks fantastic otherwise, all you need now is a TARDIS to complete the set  :thumbsup:

Do you mind. I've just had lunch  :blink:

Nice builds Ed  :thumbsup:
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

All we're going to see is them enter Kirk's quarters on Enterprise, a commercial break, and Kirk putting his boots back on  ;D

And if that Ertl Star Destroyer is the old MPC re-popped, it's a beast.

You are both assuming I meant William Shatner and not Christopher Pine.

Considering that you actually said Kirk in your post, and the Enterprise is from The Original Series YES!

What he said.  If it were nTOS (aka Abramsverse) Enterprise, then the logical assumption would have been Pine and Leia.

You got me.  I was thinking of The Shat.
But then I was also thinking of Carrie Fisher at her current age.

Nice one: that's going to be fun to move around!

There are LOADS of Star Wars vs Star Trek videos on Youtube, with very variable levels of wit and technical competence.
