At first I thought "bah ! "

But hey, I guess it'll go good with my RCN bird, and my CAF SAR 415 !

I think Ollie's building one or two as well.......

Is that for the Nats this year ?

Yes, I don't have the kits yet, but I'm definitly getting them!

I just have to buy a B-24 first...

Captain Canada

A B-24 with a -215s hull ?

Sounds good ! Long range protection from U-boats..........

No!

B-24 to do as RCAF MPA from WW2 before the numerous CL-215/415s I need!!

  ;)

Captain Canada

A real one ?

Or a post war. trumped up version ?

Belcher Bits do a Leigh light for them, eh ? Now that would be cool ! If I ever get my 48th scale Monogram PBY, I'll be grabbing a Leigh light for her. Post war RCN in EDSG over gray with day-glo.

Sweet !

And Stevie, does your MPA have the winglets ?

Hi Captain
Yep its got winglets and the CL-215 has two gun turrets, one in the nose the other in the tail both twin 20mm, she also has four wing pylons, a searchlight and a cockpit roof mounted radar off a Tracker.  :D

I'm doing a slightly later version of the 415. Drug/homeland security version. A couple of harpoons on wing racks, a rocket pod or two, fixed 20mm's in wings outboard the props, side-search radar gear, nose radardome, flare pods and a 50 cal or minigun in a flex mount either in the door or a topside hatch if they feel the need to actually stop. The only really hard thing that I want to put on her is a set of fan props instead of the big 3 or 4 bladed thingies.
Getting back into modeling

Captain Canada

Woah.....your -215 sounds awesome ! Can't wait to see that beauty.....will look real nice beside Mikey's bell chopper/plane thing.

Good idea !

We've been needing something to take care of those pesky US Customs and Coast Guard boats that have been hampering our exports........

Change of plan, going to do the CL-215 as a RNZAF aircraft. ;)

Now that sounds goos, Stevie...especially if you painted her all up like their Skyhawks ! That's one tough looking camo scheme....

Cheers !
