Right here are the rules for this years 1 week GB. Please peruse and comment.

They are the same as last year so shouldn't cause a problem ? Famous last words

1.  Group Build runs from 00.01 Friday 29th April 2016 to 24:00 Sunday 8th May 2016 (all times GMT).

2)  Any subject, any scale - but must be a what if.  Profiles and stories also eligible.

3)  You may build, draw or write as many entries as you like (good luck!).  The posting of in-progress pictures is encouraged as always.  Back stories - however long or short - win extra points.  Well OK they don't but they're always nice to see.

4)  "Preparation" work is allowed prior to the start of the GB - this includes the cutting out and cleaning up of parts, even printing your own decals (!), but anything involving paint or glue is not allowed.

5)  Part-started models are not allowed - we are relying on the honour of our membership to uphold this rule.

6)  The 1WGB is to be conducted in the true Olympian spirit - it's not the winning but the taking part.  Coming top of the pile (or is that stash?) does add to the enjoyment though and the winner will receive a hand-crafted illuminated scroll prepared by the monks of Lindisfarne.  In the event of a tie there will not be a 'whif-off', the honours will be shared.

7)  No rule 7 - is there ever a rule 7 ?

8) For the moment I will moderate this GB but if anyone else is truely desperate to do so then let me know.

Chris
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Sorry, just to clarify, what does this mean?

Quote1.  Group Build runs from 00.01 Friday 29th April 2016 to 24:00 Sunday 8th May 2016 (all times GMT).

Does that mean it starts from the first minute of Friday, so all Friday is included, or does it mean one minute past midnight on Friday night, so that the first full day is Saturday?

Without wishing to step on the newly appointed Moderators toes my intention was that it starts at 00.01 Friday (12:01 am Friday if you use the 12 hour clock) which means you have the whole of Friday.

Narces2 your going to confuse people by quoting two different times. A twelve hour clock uses 12 to 12 in the afternoon rather than a twenty four hour clock which used 13 to 24 for the afternoon. Just after midnight is the same with either. Why not write out what you mean in words rather than using numbers which can get rather confusing for some, mind you words confuse some as well but saying that having both together should reduce any confusion.

Also, could you say if the time is GMT, which the site runs on, or British Summer time which is what most people in the UK have their clocks set to.

Got it - cheers.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

I can do that with a REGULAR GB . With an One Week GB, I am not even able to start THINKING what to build... ;D
Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

OK I can't win ! But if I'm honest I can't see what's wrong with my post ? I may be missing something and it may be a case of knowing what I meant when I typed it and still seeing that now, but as I say I can't see the problem. Therefore If I confused people I apologise but at the end of the day you are getting the GB's you all seem to want.

As for GMT ? I really have no idea what time the site runs off. I'm not sure it's not one of the US time zones. Anyway I've always regarded the start and finish times to be local ? I assume that's what people do anyway.

Can I use this point in time to also appeal for more volunteers to moderate the main GB's as well ?

You do sir. It's what we have usually allowed for the 1 Week GB in the past and yes I know that's not a week but as we don't have an extension for this GB it kind of builds one in.

It was clear to me, you could start very early Friday morning and had all day- that's how I took it.  Thanks for organizing this!

I do think having the weekend on both sides is nice.

Asking permission to start 11 hours early as I will lose 3 full days due to work.

It was more from what Weaver had said. Sorry if what I said failed to pour oil on troubled waters
