Love it ! I've had a single seater in the half built pile for over a decade...and you make it look so easy that it's in a 1 week GB !

What is the pic of ? never seen that before either !

Link to the picture (scroll to bottom) of the single seat attack Avenger, perhaps only one built?

The pic I found is the same one as yours, and they mention that there was an earlier single seater, the FTBF-1, that wasn't as 'developed', but I can't find any pics of that one.

Thanks for looking Kit, looks like these single seaters are elusive.

As good as she's gonna get.  Spent the last 3 nights in a hotel for work, so finished the build at the hotel with minimal supplies- and am now heading away for my daughters graduation this weekend.  Tough to tell but she has flat black undersides and dark blue upper surfaces. Stain over the insignia to subdue the markings- recall they used oiled rags over the markings.  Humidity made the painting tough. Normally would have been a re-strip and re-spray, but such is a one week build ;)

The Hasegawa TBM is a nice kit. I think she looks pretty good with the 4 bladed Corsair prop.

It's amazing how UN-Avenger it looks with a single seat canopy. Great work Dave.

Nice! And congratulations for having completed it while in a difficult environment (hotel  ;) ). What did the hotel management think of you spray painting in the room?   ;D
Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

NARSES2

That does look good. Would appear a Hellcat and Avenger met at a bar and had a good time  ;D

No worse than smoking in the room IMO.  But i'd spray in the bathroom where there should be an extractor fan.

Good job Dave.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

I was actually worried about the fumes in my room, so I took my rattle cans to the back alley behind the hotel, and sprayed it on a cold, windy, misty night under the glare of the security lights! The weather did not help my spray job, but I was more worried about the police getting a call about some guy behind the hotel with a spray can- surely a graffiti artist or someone huffing paint- no just a desperate whiffier with a deadline!

Removing the turret totally changes the look. It took me a bit to recognise it as an Avenger. Nice job!
Whatever.

My thoughts exactly. I've no idea what "huffing" paint is but it sounds desperately illegal

Old Wombat

It's desperately stupid.

It involves spraying paint from a can, specifically enamels/lacquer-based paints, into a plastic bag, then inhaling the vapours.
Gives the moron person doing it a chemical (& hypoxia) high & severely reduces their life span.

Like I said, stupid! :banghead:
