PW is in Gippsland.  A lot of the little darlings will have their own rifle or shotgun or access to Mum or Dad's.  I have rellies and friends living there and most of them have at least one gun on the property.

I recently came across this place from the label on a parcel I handed to a customer.

Hells Bells, they even sell a full size toy Bren!  ;D

Although I'd hesitate to class a Bren as an 'Assault Rifle'.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

That's a cool site... have to do some serious thinking about what I wants, vs what I can justify...

Though I'm not convinced some of those are full size, especially the longer/bigger ones - AKs and the Bren particularly.

The new Nerf Imperial Death Trooper blaster looks interesting though - Sterling-based and with a proper folding stock this time.

Oops - tacking back onto subject...  ;D

Yesterday, due to an unforeseen idiot/power pole conjunction, there was no power at my parents' place while I house sat it. This scuppered all of my plans for the morning and lead to the inevitable conclussion that the only thing to do was go to Dad's shed and build robots.
Which I did.
Using only the junk I found in the shed.
Which I then named Shed Bots.
I was only going to make the one, but the power still had not come back on (not sure when it did actually - I went to Games CLub, and then to a mate's place to eat pizza and play Mechwarrior Online at length before the power e'er returned...) so I was bored enough to make a second, less awesome one.
Behold: Shedbot 1103 (he has the number 1103 wrtten on his head. It's some sort of lumberyard code thing) and Shedbot knobby.

Tomorrow is the anniversary of the birth of the first son of my esteemed flute riddled opponent, aka, He For Whom the Rockosaurus Rex Was Built. Thus you may bask in reflected glory by viewing certain images!

It is a truth, universally acknowledged that a man finding himself in possesion of a wooden T-Rex rocking horse shall grin cheesily.

It is a truth further acknowledged that scientific accuracy has NO place in the making of wodden T-Rex rocking horses, hence the bright red skin and green spots. And not just on the jockey.

And why, may I ask, are you wasting time making wooden T-Rex rocking horses for small humans when you COULD be making a mighty palace for your feline overlord?

Also there are some partially completed robot christmas decorations all over the dining table...

Glad to see it's being put to good use

That cat looks as though it has a cunning plan of some form or another ?

The cat is constantly plotting world domination. It is his nature.

As a fully paid up and active member of the Dinosaur revolution since the mid-80s I'd give you a 9/10 on the T-Rex colour scheme ,. Very closely related to their avian descendants and with a very high probability of colour vision T-Rex was most probably quite colourful, even more so if it was more scavenger than hunter. Reds and greens can be very intimidating if you are territorial or if you're trying to scare opponents away from a kill. T-Rex skeletons abound in bone damage and skull scarring/puncture wounds so were probably extremely aggressive territorially. Wy-Rex had over half of its tail bitten off and survived:

Controversial and great fun  ;D.

While pasta boils, a man's thoughts turn to matters of updating his carpentry thread, which has gotten really out of hand.
Today I suddenly realised I needed to make a new christmas tree to replace my foamcore pyramid covered in wrapping paper. Becasue you cannot hang decorations on a foamcore pyramid covered in wrapping paper. And I keep making decorations...
This lead to the making of this:

The wooden hat stand looking thing, not scale reference cat. I adopted him pre-assembled.
Not the wooden christmas robot decorations and wooden christmas robot angel - which one of my colleagues says looks like Marvin the Paranoid Android.

Is that a *blue* SPC in the background? And what's chasing it?

Enquiring (ok, nosey) minds want to know more! ;D

That's a 1/32 heavily modified post apocalyptic 80s Toyota Supra being chased by an even more heavily modified post apocalyptic Nissan Skyline. It's part of a diorama which is the subject of a thread somewhere on this forum.

Ah, Critmoose, the festival of rolling a 20 to hit against a moose, thus scoring a critical hit! Or something.
Anyways, it's almost critmoose, and thus time to show off pics of things I have been making for people who do not know this forum exists and thus cannot recieve spoilers! Because some of them are so young they can't talk yet.

First, two sets of Stack4. Which is basically connect 4 in three dimensions. And there's some sort of puzzle called Chinese Towers you can play with it or something. Boards have been made up from various interesting looking woods, and lovingly oiled with cutting board oil (because it's the only food safe oil I could get easily and I do not want people to die the death from chewing their toys...) Beads are from Spotlight. I had to re-drill them. The smaller ones came stained. I have to stain half the larger ones so it's obvious who is in charge of which beads. That's for this arvo.

The Junior' Angler's set. I was thinking of making more fish, but never got round to it (I don't like scrollsaws much...) The reels on the rods spin, but they don't feed the line. They kept getting tangled up, so I just tied the lines to the rings they were meant to run through. You can't tell, but the fish have been painted with finest glitter paint.

The illustrious Boaty. Which I made many moons ago, and I am sure showed off. But now... IT'S BEEN OILED! I had thought of painting, but this is going to a two-year old, so he might try chewing it and I wasn't sure of the toxicity of the paints I was using. With this oil, so long as he's not alergic to tung nuts, he'll be fine. I've not tried it, but this thing might even float. Who knows?

I've got some toy cars on the go. The wheels have just been painted, and I'm about to fit axels and do final assembly. So pics when that's done I guess. which should be this arvo.
