Right as I will be moderating this GB I need to know if people are happy with the kit I'm planning to use. It's an Airfix HMS Nelson which was "started" a few years ago. I only got as far as cutting the decking piece in to two parts. Rest is as nature intended.

Are people happy with me to continue ?

Chris

Very happy!  ;D
My entry will be an Heller Saab J29, and I had cut the wings to make them folding. So I hope my cut will be allowed too.
Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

This really belongs in a General Discussion thread for the GB but, as we don't have one, yet .....

My other build, which I'm going to try to build in parallel with the F6F is going to be an aircraft of the NARDU.

QuoteThe Royal Australian Navy's Naval Aircraft Research and Development Unit (NARDU) plans, conducts and analyses the results of ground and flight tests of existing and new Navy and Marines aircraft. NARDU consists of two flights, Fixed Wing and Rotary Wing, staffed by qualified test pilots, flight test engineers and flight test system specialists. The squadrons are run by the RAN FAA but Royal Australian Marines personnel also work within the unit.
Apologies to Wikipedia, from whom I stole & altered the above quote.

By the way, my first one will hopefully be the FAA Grumman Cougar that I started earlier this year, subject to approval. Total work so far is:

Cockpit bulkheads and nosewheel bay glued to cockpit tub
Cockpit tub, jetpipe and inside of fuselage sprayed with grey primer

Please let me know if that's okay.

OK by me and I'm the Mod  ;D
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

If it's only the missiles that are assembled then it's fine by me mate as some kits come with them in that state as a starter anyway.

Should have kept quiet about it...................  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

I'd say it depends on the kind of serendipity :
it's metric or imperial? has a positive or negative polarity? and most important: what's the serendipity's blood type?  ;D
