The USN used OV-10 Broncos in Vietnam for interdiction in the Mekong Delta, and the original spec included operation from floats, so there's a potential project for someone:

This really belongs in a General Discussion thread for the GB but, as we don't have one, yet .....

My other build, which I'm going to try to build in parallel with the F6F is going to be an aircraft of the NARDU.

QuoteThe Royal Australian Navy's Naval Aircraft Research and Development Unit (NARDU) plans, conducts and analyses the results of ground and flight tests of existing and new Navy and Marines aircraft. NARDU consists of two flights, Fixed Wing and Rotary Wing, staffed by qualified test pilots, flight test engineers and flight test system specialists. The squadrons are run by the RAN FAA but Royal Australian Marines personnel also work within the unit.
Apologies to Wikipedia, from whom I stole & altered the above quote.

I'm thinking about combining a 1/25 1959 Ford Skyliner with some plumbing fittings and parts of an electric toothbrush.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Went through the project list and The Pile and immediately found five candidates for the GB...  :-\

I have one build in mind although I do have a second which would also be eligible for the Frog/Novo GB. As that one involves a lot of cutting and putty I might build it for this GB.

Well I have an old Airfix HMS Nelson which has been in the stash for a few years as it should have been built for a mate who's father served on her during WWII (in the end I built the Tamiya one for him). I then mused about what if there had been no Washington Treaty restrictions ? So musing on Nelson as a traditional design I cut the deck in two and that's as far as she got some 7/8 years ago ? So the plan is to have Nelson with 2 forward and one rear turret.

As this will be my first ship model in that 7/8 years I'll build an aircraft as well, not sure what, but I do have a Supermarine Seagull in the stash and it's vacform. So first ship in a few years and first vacform ever ?

In addition to whatever the car turns onto I have a Revell Lockheed Viking I may do something with.

A LOVELY kit, that'll be the Maintrack one with white metal bits, no doubt? I have one too, I really ought to look at it again...............
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Incidentally, isn't it rather inappropriate for a GB called 'In The Navy' to have a 'General Discussion Thread'? Surely it should be an 'Admiral Discussion Thread'?  ;)
