Just wondering if anybody still has the 66 sqdn markings surplus from the Revell Hawker Hunter F6 kit. I discovered I had already robbed my kit for a previous build - doh  :banghead:

I should have Geoff, I've got two F6s and two FGA9s and I've not used the decal sheet for any of them so far.

I'll check and get back to you later.

If he doesn't have 'em, I should have some among my several Revell 1/72 Hunters.

I can provide a third source of the decals if required

Likewise.
I think Geoff that you are likely to find there is a positive plethora of 66 Sqdn. markings available to you.

Excellent guys, now can anybody send them this week as its for a current build for a Project Cancelled model I'm currently decaling ?

Only discovered I had already used the decals when I came to use them thus the DOH! moment  :banghead:

Given that need, can someone over there provide them?  Transit time from the US might be a bit long for his needs.

Hi Geoff

I've got one of these kits and I'm nearer to you than anyone else if the need is urgent. I can drive up to your place ASAP with them if you like.

Do you want all the markings for the 66 Sqn option or just the decals that are specific to it, i.e. the bits lined off as 66 sqn on the sheet?

Oh and BTW, thanks: opening the box, I realised that it had a pair of decent early-model Sidewinders plus rails in it, which is just what I've been looking for for another project.

I can get them in the post on Monday, PM me your snailmail address and I'll wrap them up Geoff.

Do you just need the 66 Sqdn. section of the sheet, or some more of it as well?

Hi H

Its not that urgent to warrant a mercy dash but thanks for the offer  ;D, as thankfully not a build deadline, just one I'm trying to finish this week.

Could probably do with a meet up at some stage soon, possibly the new Avro Heritage museum, see if we can pre-book a visit to their archives if they are now settled in ?

Cheers

It has the squadron crests, two larger snakes on white circles, and distinctive blue/white triangles around the roundels instead of the more usual bars. This profile shows the scheme, but the one in the box has a squared off front end to the traingles instead of rounded as in the profile. The one in the box is XF462:

Sounds like a plan: what days are good for you (I can do pretty much any)?

I need to make contact with them to find out when we can go and visit the archives, any Avro/HS projects your particularly interested in, personally I would like to see the final drawings for the HS-681 if available.
