I have a (still sealed) MPC (Airfix) Banshee but no Wessex.

Today I painted a second coat of the pale blue.  Yesterday I did a second coat of the yellow.  Tomorrow, or Sunday i will do a second coat of the red followed by touching up the dark grey lines between the patches.

Decalled and cleared.
Working on the weapons and crew now.

She will be carrying a pair of 40mm cannons and as well as two pilots will have a pair of door gunners.

She got her guns today.
KZ40 rapid fire drum-fed 40mm auto-cannons from New Zealand's choicest arms manufacturer Yates Aviation (Munitions and Arms Division) .

Also pilots took their seats and canopy attached.  Canopy has a large crack down the front pane of glass but I feel that adds a touch of character.

Olive Drab.
Not painting them would have meant the bright yellow Tamiya polyester putty on the iffy seams would have stood out like a sore thumb.

Brings new meaning to the term 'Dazzle Camouflage'.  ;D :lol:
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)
