Do we have a presence ?

There is a possibility I will be there along with Steve as we are at a bash not to far away the night before

I intended to go. If Martin can't make it then I have cloths and signs for a stand, if one's been booked.

I damn well hope so, it's been in my organiser for MONTHS!  :o

My model box has stayed packed since the MK show too.

Cheers lads. I'm in the vicinity (well 40 miles or so away) Saturday night so might get there.

Im not 100% certain, but I think they are opening for set up at around 8am.

If possible try and get there before half 9, to avoid the gates being shut ready for opening to the public at 10.

Thanks OGL. I should get there between 8 and 8.30 with luck, if my new(er) car goes OK anyway.

For unknown reasons this post doesn't show after a search under 'Coventry' with my ID. What's all that about? Took me AGES to find it and post this, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr  :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

We attended the show en masse and had a darn good time. Lots of models, lots of traders, lots of real aeroplanes and the weather was pretty good, what's not to like?

The SIG stand was well populated, pics below, and a considerable number of other Whiffs were displayed on other stands too, some pics of them later, with luck.

My first time at this show and I thoroughly enjoyed it: well done all!

Had a lucky escape when I set off to drive around from the unloading area to the car park, and realised a second too late that I hadn't put the bungee cord back around the stack of boxes with my reserve display models in them. The whole lot crashed over sideways in the back, but going through them with my hear in my mouth, I found........... not one breakage! Yay for good packing eh?

The tables were full of good models, there was plenty of stuff to buy (I was relatively restrained) and the museum is well worth a visit in it's own right.

Are the crates of kits in front of the table the result of your restraint?  ;D

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

The exact opposite in fact.  ;D

They were the 'For Sale' kits that 2-3 of us brought along. I think Mike McEvoy filled his car up with stuff from his stash!

Here's some of the Whiffs on other stands at Coventry.

A truly excellent 1/48 XF5U-1 in FAA colours

A 1/48 Luftwaffe jet Shinden

A rather good CVA-01 in 1/700 scale (I think...)

A Russian stealth helicopter in 1/48

My fave, a very subtle TWO seat F-23 in 1/48

The fact that they're still pretty full is a result of other people's restraint, unfortunately. :banghead:

Between me, Mike McEvoy and Howard of Efffingham we had sale boxes along the entire length of the stand. Mike's far more exotic selection did rather better than mine, however.
