Nice project!

I had a similar idea maaaany years ago for a Douglas DB-7 flying boat, but it never turned into hardware.

You will need to enlarge the vertical stabilizer. May I suggest a fin fillet?
This is going to be weirdly wonderful!

Thanks, I was weighing up whether I needed to add one or not, even though a fair portion of mk.X's were fitted with them  <_<

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Looks promising.  Probably no more PSR required than when building that kit OOB...

;D

God damnit!!!  and I was actually toying with the idea of using a clipper too  so do we wrestle for the name or is it first past the post?  ;D

They're in different time/space continuums, so there isn't a problem...............
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

I take it this beastie will have teeth?

The now redundant wheelwells would make ideal (if small) weapons bays.
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Why "Beaumaris" and not "Beaumarine"?

There's always Beauly,  Brighton, Bute, Berneray, Bowmore  or even Bude  and Bridgwater.

I rather like the idea of a flying boat called the Bowmore; Loch Indaal on Islay was host to a coastal command base in WW2.........and Bowmore single malt is most acceptable!!
