This Lockheed floatplane, designed with the help of Eng. Burnelli, was almost impossible to classify:

If it had been ordered and mass-produced, it would look "normal"...

so beautiful!

even more than the other floatplane variations before that ...

it is comparable, favorably, to other flying wing seaplanes, like the Savoia-Marchetti S55X !
