Well, the topic seems to be en vogue at the moment, so why not add another Gnat to the flock?
Anyway, this one will be ...different (I hope), and actually the hardware rendition of a spontaneous comment I posted in Devilfish's ZELL Gnat build thread.

Work is in progress, but things will probably be posted once the project is done.  ;D

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

More retro... A flying boat!  ;D

Ah so the Saunders Roe SRA 1 was successful then ?
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Dizzyfugu

Rather as a "2nd attempt", 5 years later, but the concept will be similar. And smaller.  ;D

Dizzyfugu

Food for thought... do these pictures have any connection? Well, it can be created!  ;D

The rear cockpit is deleted and blended into the rest of the fuselage; longer intake ducts (from a Matchbox F-5A) were added as a measure against spray ingestion. The stabilizers will be re-located, into a cruciform tail (Meteor or Seahawk style). The float comes from a Curtiss SC-1 - the length is perfect for the Gnat T.1, and the width is also O.K.

Leave the wings off, paint it blue, head for Connistone and World Water Speed record here we come  ;D
