It should be a lot faster with no more of the dreaded errors.

Timezones are now correct, you may need to update any time zone offset you put in under Profile - Look and Layout. Just take out any manual entry and hit "Auto detect" and it should figure it out automagically.

Thank you for the advice - I was already searching where to find the adjustment menu!

Cheers Geoff, smileys and inserts like pics aren`t working for me.

What browser are you using and on what sort of device ?

Many websites these days have 50% or more of visitors using mobile devices, so its foolish to ignore the demographic. I

Purely because I'm curious and no devious reasons, do you have the figure for us ?

Many thanks to all involved.

What ever my set up is and whichever setting I'm using is absolutely fine for me  To be honest apart from looking cleaner there's no real change on my p.c.

Thanks again

One minor point.

I had two message when I logged in but I was still not getting notifications to my e-mail address.

Not sure if this was because they were sent prior to the upgrade ?

my laptop/desk top is working fine on the new version with Firefox.
It will be interesting to see how it handles on Opera. <edit> just looked via Opera and all seems ok so far.

And I have also had a look via my Samsung Galaxy A3.
I like the look of the mobile/tablet version

I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Another odd one. On the Group Builds section there are "New" indicators for both the Ausiarama GB and the 2008 GB. Click on them and you are told there are none. Now this may simply be me ?

Agreed!  I'm happy with the new appearance of the site  and I'd like to add my thanks to the migratory experts!!

Looks fine to me. I note that you've fixed the borders problem I mentioned in the other thread: it's much better now. Many thanks to everybody involved for their efforts.

One entirely non-urgent point (but since we're thinking about how the site works ATM): the smileys contain no less that four variations on 'smile' including two identical ones, but there's no 'sad' one, only 'angry' and 'evil', which are sometimes too much. Can I propose replacing one of the duplicated 'smiley' ones with a 'sad' one. It may seem trivial but good smileys are an important way of conveying the tone of what you're saying.

Also, fun as the jet and tank smileys may be, I'm not sure what function they serve. Smileys are supposed to express your feelings: I've honestly never felt 'tank'.......

the new forum looks great, much more clear IMHO  ;)
the biggest improvement is the demise of the "unalbe to start another process" warning

-all kinds of things.

That seemed to be painless, from a user point of view anyway. Well done indeed.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Anyone getting redirected to the Elkhart page is using whatifmodelers.com, vs having to use beta.whatifmodelers.com to get to SMF-based page?
