The Reply page doesn't show any icons for adding markup (bold/italics/URL/image etc). Given the discussion on smileys earlier this might be just me though, I'm on a crappy internet connection at the moment.

Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

I see the same (Windows, Firefox) - maybe these are (unused) advertising spaces in the layout? I don't mind the empty space, gives an uncluttered look.  ;)

Suggestions for what to put in the forum logo header image are welcome :) The images I posted were just what I had to hand, equally we could have a competition to design a new logo or something.

This can be text or images, quotes about the forum, cool model photos etc.

Has the logo in the upper left corner of the main frame been made bigger?  :o
Suddenly, it's much larger and it moved to the right?!

Yep!, IMO I think it looks better this way.  Maybe just move the two corner features upwards so the bottoms of all features line up. Then you could do away with the 'reduce/expand' feature in the top right corner as it would become redundant

It looks great with the new 'Cinerama' heading pic I think.

What's the aircraft type please? it looks vaguely familiar but I can't pin it down.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

It's a Saro P.187 Kit, there's a 3-View of it in the BSP-Jet Fighters since 1950, page 86

Ah yes, thanks Robert.

MUCH better looking than the P.177 to my mind.

Much bigger than the P.177 too, two jet engines and four rocket boosters, the Red Deans look tiny on it --

It all looks good and works good for me. But then, I'm cheap and easy.

Deviating from the layout is tricky - the larger logo pushes the other elements lower on the page and fixing that is complicated without breaking the layout, plus it needs to work on multiple screen sizes and devices.

The aircraft are the Saunders-Roe P.187 and P.177 (SR.177) rocket fighters,  these are computer renderings by "CiTrus90" on Secret Projects forum.

I've mentioned it before but I think we really need an "Ignore" feature that blocks the posts of those you (any given user) stick on a given list.

Since the upgrade it does - meet the ignore list - http://www.whatifmodellers.com/index.php?action=profile;area=lists;sa=ignore (Profile - Edit Profile - Buddy/Ignore List - Ignore List)

Hehehe, that's going to see some use in the near future I'm sure!  ;D
