The way you've mounted those Spits is great. Well done.

Both dios look magnificent.

How did you do the spinning prop effect on the Spits, and what happens to them after the dinner? Are they presented to someone or do they end up in a display somewhere, or....?

Great work all round, but that top photo of the Lightning is just

Great work on all of those - IMHO we don't see enough of these sort of scenes.

One I saw once was of an Argentine A-4 when the pilot had just initiated a punch-out and the canopy was detaching, with smoke from the bang seat in the cockpit and said seat halfway out - added a bit of motion into the display.

The blurred runways are a cool idea, too - helps with the feeling of motion.

Superb dioramas - well thought out!

The Spitfire trio is very nice! And a very good way to present the belly, too.

Should also look great with a sky/cloud background.

Thank you all for the comments and apologies for the slow reply.

Kit, the prop blur is a basic photobucket effect where you can `blemish` the props and create that look.
I have suggested auctioning off the Phantom and Lightning models at the Reunion dinner with proceeds going to an RAF charity. I`d love to present them to the actual pilots, but the Phantom crew are based in the US and Australia these days and I`m not sure we can trace/confirm a pilot for the Lightning either? The Spitfire models I plan to present, but I`m keeping that under wraps for now.

A little something, (if you can call the Airfix 1/24 scale kit `little`), I have been working on and off for the last few months based on one of the residents now based at the Manston fire dump.

I wanted to do something a little different from the usual Harrier builds you see and after my visit to Manston last September, this wreck caught me eye.

To put it into context what I was trying to replicate here are a couple of pictures of the real thing....,

..... and now for my effort....,

Thanks for looking.

Exactly what I was going to say.

At least they are still being useful.
