Hi Guys,
The long wait is over.
With  help from Captain Canada here are some pictures of what I have been working on over the past few years. Most are in 1/72 unless stated and a few recycled. I will add what kits were used and any references relating to existing aircraft or concept/line drawings.
In the meantime please check out my
blog page 'McColm what I've started and currently working on' ,over the last few pages.
There are some older whiffs on my Facebook page, just search under:

My interpretation of a Heliplane. C-130 fuselage, Mil-26 main stack. Constellation triple fin tail and two 1/48 Lockheed S-3B Viking turbofan engines. Will get a second set of helicopter blades.

Martin Marlin meets parts of the HP Victor.

Front view, it's amazing what a few tubes of filler/puty can hide! Not quite finished.

Looks familiar Sea Victor, but not quite right!

Yes it's a kitbash, mixture of Martin Marlin meets the Handley Page Victor with the nose and rear BAe Nimrod AEW3 resin radomes.

A close up view of the Wraith.

Front view of the Wraith, looks kinda sneaky!

Side view of the Wraith, with lumps and bumps!

The rear view of the problem child, I keep changing my mind on what I want to fit on the gap.

My favourite is the Wraith ! I really dig the look of this one. All of the parts used, all of the lumps and bumps....just looks mean !

Thanks again Captain Canada.
The Wraith is in it's fifth reincarnation, previous name was Proteus. Its had a double mamba engine in the nose and one at the rear with twin RR Griffons. I think the resin turboprop engines work better with the three bladed propellers.
Lumps and bumps are from the Falcon vacform triple conversion kits. EP-3 Orion and AP-2E/H Neptune. Metal landing gear is from the AeroClub Shackleton MR2 conversion kit.
The Heliplane is influenced by several concept pictures throughout this site.
The Albatross was already built and painted. When it arrived in the post it was almost intact apart from the engines.
The Be-12 Mail AEW was originally a Be-6 Veb East German kit although Revell did re-market it. Just added a stack off a Rotodyne kit with the rotodome of the Hawkeye.Rear landing wheels need to be fitted.
Avro Shackateer, already been commentated on in previous posts.

Thanks David.
Update on the Wraith. The 1/72 Czech Master resin #CS69 nose conversion for the Lockheed P2V-7B Neptune (flown by the Royal Netherlands Naval Air Service) now fills the gap in the rear fuselage.
This gives the Wraith a sting in its tail with four 20mm fixed cannon.

The C130 heliplane looks like it belongs in a Gerry Anderson production.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

The Heliplane is based on a design by GBA,page 2 of the C-130 aircraft topic.
Thanks Tophe

The Wraith has been hand painted Revell number 8  Matt black to give it a sinister look. Rear landing gear changed to the same as the main landing gear.
