I know this subject had been discussed before but not in 1/72 scale.
RVHP do a range of resin models with metal landing gear covering Saab and Embraer in AEW & C. They also have the test aircraft used the Fairchild Swearingen Metroliner.
These kits are a bit pricey but sometimes you can pick up a secondhand model at a reasonable price.
As far as I am aware the Erieye radar is not sold separately although it shouldn't be too hard to scratch build.
The whiffing potential covers turboprop and turbofan aircraft. Tests were carried out in 1987 with production starting in 1996.
Bizjets and turboprop airliners spring to mind, so does fixed winged maritime patrol aircraft or ELINT types.
Although cargo aircraft could also be whiffed.
Now I know what to do with the Grumman E-2s that have been stripped of their radomes and bases!

Something that has always intrigued me about the Erieye antenna - what size is it?  It seems to vary, depending on what platform it is mounted on...
