Czech Omega made kits of all the two-seater Hurricanes some time ago, got a copy of them all in my stash ---

Going by what they charge for their resin bits and bobs I bet they were pricey mate ?

Just a tad ----     and I got eight of them altogether too  ---- (various variants and ""planned"" variants)

Win the Pools ??

As for contra-props. I still have a fair few Aeroclub white metal ones in the stash luckily
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

McColm

What about a 1/72 ATL-98 Carvair in resin with metal parts.
I'm not too sure if you can still buy the vacform kit. There was a rumour that J+L and S+M Models were going to release conversion kits to coincide with the Revell C-54.

A few (very few) 1/25 dragsters came with deployed braking 'chutes.
I don't have any so can't help with how they supported them.

The MPC/Airfix '64 Corvette comes to mind. It had a RED vacformed chute, moulded in two halves, included in the kit and the instructions said 'Make up drag chute lines from thread'!

VERY helpful, I don't think!  :banghead:
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Size (of the stash) matters.

The Boeing Pregnant Guppy and Super Guppy in 1/72 scale.
I've seen the 1/144 scale kit on my travels and thought I'd really like to build a 1/72 version. Was there a vacform conversion kit?
I did use the Hasegawa Lockheed Martin
P-3C Orion engines on the 1/72 Academy Stratofreighter, the two outer engines were easy, the two inner caused me some grief. To get they shape of the fuselage would an empty plastic bottle of water suffice ?

Can't you read the mandate Colin set :-

QuoteI'm looking for conversion suggestions, something not too complicated as I only have about a month to get the patterns sorted. Ideally a British project in 1/72, but open to options. WWII or post-war seem the most popular, If it goes with a new base kit that is not too expensive to start with that also helps. I can include decals if I pull my finger out, so post suggestions here and help me out and I will hopefully have it ready for November.

He's looking for ideas he can implement cheaply for small items that will be popular to recoup the costs, not a wish list of the crack pot concepts you personally want that would have limited market value and be too long and expensive to produce !!!  :banghead:

1/72 4 Sqn Hawk T.2 decals?

https://www.hannants.co.uk/product/X72167

Those are on the Xtradecal sheet

I know, but I just don't want to shell out on a 4 Sqn Hawk decal sheet that'll otherwise be wasted.

When I suggested a 1/72  extended nose wheel. Same thing happened criticism, crackpot idea and yet there it is on sale in the Freightdog catalog..
If it's not too difficult to manufacture the landing gear for a 1/72  C-130 . Unless anyone has objections.

This looks like it should be fairly simple to do, so how about a turbo-prop conversion for the DHC Chipmunk

Mossie

I always thought the turbo-chippy would look good with the RCAF bubble canopy and retractable gear.

A lycoming engine conversion might also be good for the Chipmunk.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.
