after doing some stash management, i have found an old 1/100 scale VEB Plasticart AN-24 kit from the 1960's.
disptite its ago, it looks pretty good, although i may have to find a replacement for a broken prop or replace both 4-blade props with 3-blade props from the spares box.

boxart:

as for decals, i have found a scheet of Lufthansa decals in the cilvilian spares box that would fit this aircraft perfectly.
on the bench:

-all kinds of things.

Sweet! Civil stuff. I've really been wanting to see more of it. I'll be eagerly watching this.

Great subject matter, bro!

Built one of those in the early 80's, very hard plastic but went together well. IIRC it didn't like Humbrol tube glue (had little if any effect) so pretty sure I used Plastic Weld. Really wish I hadn't blown the crap out of it with an air rifle! Plastic was so brittle it shattered into tiny sharp bits that kept spiking me in bed! Yes I was stupid and shot it up on my bed!  :banghead: Picking up bits of plastic for weeks.

Three-blade paddle-bladed props ala Fw-190D, later Ju-88 or Ju-188 would be the ticket.
