That movie is like an old friend that you're always happy to have stop by.   I haven't seen the second one but I've heard it's a steamy pile.  ;D

No. 2 is indeed a pile of no.2.  Musically it has some great performances but that isn't enough to carry it.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

I have to see it some day for the sheer novelty of it but once will likely be all I can muster.  ;D  The original is one I like to throw on when I'm working on builds. They "pair" well. Another one is .. of course... The Big Lebowski. That's what I have on deck this evening if/when I get to it. I been readin' that book of his here and there and I have my hands on a special edition copy with a slew of extras on it that I haven't seen.

What if... there were a cross over? Even just a short scene where Jake and Elwood came across The Dude would be extremely gratifying if done properly.

BOOO!! My mama fell over. It was sheer happenstance I showed up right after it had happened because I had no idea. I was upstairs, she was downstairs.  :-\ (this happened once before in a similar fashion, it was sheer luck I got off work early and got home about 15 minutes after she fell and was incapacitated, otherwise it would have been another couple hours)  She got up but she had to go to hospital and she has couple of cracked ribs. I'm like... damn.. .well...  that might not be much of an issue for a younger person but closing in on 88 years old I'm worried about pneumonia and stuff.

I know the feeling. My parents are 87 and 89 and I worry about them all the time. Mom is too stubborn to even consider moving to a house they could manage instead of one with stairs.
I hope your Mom recovers quickly.

She pretty sore but I think she'll be fine. She just needs to watch the breathing I think and we'll be OK.  Yeah, stubborn. I don't blame them.. I think I will be the worst when I'm that age. Old habits die hard especially ones like common house work or whatever but it gets to the point where even that type of thing is too risky and needs to come to a halt. The question is... how to go about it. That's NEVER an easy answer.

F-16XL today. I decided not to go to work for obvious reasons so I can sit back and wait on mama if she needs anything and try to get some fiddlies painted.

Another massive quantity of work completed on the XL! I finished painting the gear. I primed two sidewinders and a gear door. ;D  Hey..... something is better than nothing!

Like i said on FB, wishes of a speedy recovery for your mama.

Thanks, hoss. I haven't been back really to check on that. Just enough to see all the support though but haven't gotten down to catching up or reading..

She's having tons of pain of course and doesn't like the pain meds. On a lighter note, the thingy they gave her to help with the breathing stuff looks like a bong.  ;D  A bit odd to see my mama going around with a bong.  ;D

Thank you!  I think this should work well, then.    I had to cancel my last entry because I couldn't make the backstory work without lazy writing but this works chronologically it would seem so it looks like a safe bet.

I dug the kit back out yesterday and and about ready to get it staged for building once I get a little more free time built up. This will be my first Israel build.

He meant to write "mum" & I second his statements.

Yes I did, and that was the second time I'd used mum in a post today, and the second time I'd miss typed it  :-X Corrected them both now

Thanks y'all!   She seems a little better today. I just wish she didn't have to deal with all the pain involved because, and I know from experience, it makes literally EVERYTHING else 10X more difficult. It's like being held hostage. There's no way to expedite this, just weather the course.

No model stuff today really... I'm trying to finish off Mass Effect so I can get to the second one which, if memory serves, was rumored to be the best of the series. I'm curious to see how things improve from number 1. I really like it, as evidenced by my enthusiasm to play it, but there are problems with it here and there that game design has remedied over the 13 years since this was released. The second in the series I expect to have fixed many of these things (even though it's still kind of old now too, as video games go) and I can't wait to see if some of the stuff they fix matches up with my critiques.

Man, what fun though. This is heavy on scientific "accuracy" as sci-fi goes and exploring solar systems, planets, moons, and asteroids is great fun even if you don't land on one. The descriptions of all the various planets and stuff is really cool sometimes. I even got to land on our moon the other day. This game takes place a few hundred years in the future and by then it is colonised BUT there area I went to was pretty barren, like the moon should be...

BUT ANYWAY!! Enough of that.. I wouldn't mention it if it weren't so damn cool, man!  ;D

AHEM... ok... like I said no model stuff today "really."  What I mean by that is after lunch I'm going to take a look at my NATO weapons set and daydream and plan a little bit for the loadout I'm going to put on the XL. I want to hang a nuke from it, too, so I need to see if it has ground clearance and if I can position it where it needs to be as well which is close to centerline as possible.
-Sprues McDuck-

TheChronicOne

Taking some notes as I go along. Scratching the centerline pylon idea.... there's no way to make it work. I wanted my Nuke in the middle as a "show piece" but there's no way to stick it where I want without some sort of "tall" pylon that would have it in ground.

So, I've decided to stick one out on the wing and have an AGM-65 balancing it out on the other wing. Going to have two HARM AGM 88, Two AMRAAM Aim-120, two Sidewinder AIM-9, 1 Rockeye cluster bomb, 1 MK 82 laser guided opposite of that for weight balance. And uhhh...  I might be able to cram more in there but I'll need to dry fit all this malarkey under the wings to make sure I have enough real estate. Weight differences are neglible. I have a 30 pound difference on one set and a 10 pound one on another.. not bad! She'll only start to become unbalanced when this stuff starts dropping.  ;D   I guess I should make some sort of alotment for external tanks, as well. The travel time of these would be short but they need a bit of time to loiter so they can burn of the external tanks on the way to the fight and then have fuel left for loiter and emergency manuevering.

Still more planning needs to be done but this is a good start and I'll get things lined out better as we go along. This feels like I'm prepping up to build an A-10.... so.. I think I'm definitely on the right track!

Back to the transfers...  since it seems apparent that I want this thing in Europe in place of the Thunderbolt II I need to make sure she's stationed in the right place which means proper tail markings so I'll need to look at that sheet I was planning on buying to make sure it has what I need. If not, I'll find another.

One last thing.... I need some help again. I figure I'm going to need some new sensors to throw in this thing at least for stuff like the AGM-88 and anti-air crap so if someone could help me out with that those would be then by all means.
