My granddad explained it to us as horizontal and vertical axes.  Picture a family tree.  My mom's sister's son is my first cousin- we are on the same "generation" level.  His daughter is my first cousin, once (one generation) removed.

Ah, I think a light has just dawned. Thank you

SHEESH. I've been busting arse 8-9 days straight with mowing and all that but found some time last night to work on my Arii Cessna 172...  Took a little more than an hour to get ONE window piece of 5 in and it was a tedious and non-enjoyable process. Holy crap... at this pace I'm not sure I'll finish this by the extended deadline. I anjoy a challenge like the rest of us..... for instance... I had a lot of fun when I built my F-RSIN ATR-72...   but this type of thing...  it just isn't fun at all. Damn sure ain't giving up, though!

Yep, the clear parts are an issue with these kits.
But i'm sure you'll make a silk purse out of a sows ear.

Make hay while the sun shines as the saying goes, and think of all the models you can buy to see you through the winter  ;)

Oh man! True enough. Looking forward to Winter. I got all my deep cleaning and organizing done last year and integrated the new computer I bought so this year I can ... like... relax a lot more instead of dealing with that crap so It's going to be pretty fun.   Thanks y'all!  A lil support helps. I'm back at this thing today after work. The last two days were spent trying to get my phone working again. It's always something, I swear!  But still .... I think if I can get past these dumbass windows I can get my plane finished in time. lol  It's going to be pretty neat I think. I'm not going to have a lot of time to dial in the livery but I DO have a basic idea for it so... I'll have something at least.

Things worked out pretty well this week and I've found time to get the Flying Police Car up to date and I've made good progress last night and tonight. Cutting it close on the deadline but if I don't get too carried away with the livery I should be able to get it done. All the windows are in and the wings are glued on. I used Milliput to shore in the area around the back window. Painting, for the most part, of stuff like struts and gear is done. I have the nose gear to work on a lil more and one last thing to add to the props/spinner but all of this will take.... ohhh.... 10 minutes maybe? Tomorrow I'll mask over the windows and do a lil wet sanding then get the final coat of white paint on the gloss it and start on the transfers.

A long way to go and plenty of refinement left but believe it or not I do believe I'm closing in on the finish, although it doesn't look like it.  ;D

Struggling to come up with content means I've not been posting much so in the interest of.... ehhh.... interest, this will be a duplicate post both for the build page and my build blog page.

Yup, that little bugger looks nice! Gotta remember to look for a Cessna 172. I grew up with them flying over my city and the local beaches dragging ad banners behind them.

I think everyone grew up with them flying over everywhere!

My first experience flying was in a Cesna 172, aged 7, & the pilot even let me have the controls ... until I started flying too low for his comfort. ;D

Welp..... as is often the case these days... I'll be right up along the deadline. Good news is I have most everything done already. I have 12 individual letters and a couple flags still to be applied as transfers (I'll do 'em in groups so it shouldn't be TOO bad) then it's a coat of clear, gluing on the fiddly bits, and pictures.

RIGHT down to the nitty gritty for sure, brotha!  11:21 when I was done with the pictures.  :o

This thing is hard to get good pictures of for some reason... might be the high wing and the supports and stuff but.... I did what I could in the dark and I didn't get to drag my lights together (all of them) and one of them failed (batteries dead). I would have preferred outside pictures but these turned out alright enough I guess!

On to the next project! I suppose the one week GB is happening soon if I ain't already missed that one.  ;D
