I'll start to do that. I've 3-4 builds now with one little missing thing (usually something in the cockpit)and it's funny on one hand but frustrating on the other.  :o ;D   Oh!! And case in point, just yesterday I had .... one brush stroke of cover up paint that I meant to put on and forgot about it then glossed. This is ultra easy to fix but illustrates the point.

That whole area went bad on me... I had to fix the silver, too. The finish suffered a bit but this is the underside of the stabalizer so I don't really care. It looks fine and it's hidden 99.999999999% of the time.   ;D

Plans today? I definitely have a plan I want to stick to. It's time to decal the gunship. I need to find something to use for N numbers (lest I'm stuck doing them individually) then make a decision on the name itself. I think I'd be fine without it but if I can somehow muster up the gusto I could try it and see if putting on all those individual letters is worth the hassle or not. Not to mention, the FONT could wind up not looking right. I'm stuck with WWII Luftwaffe letters and modern day USN letters. Not a lot of wiggle room here. The letters may simple not look appropriate for something civilian commercial.

Absolutely. It's cases like that where I find having the note of "finals" helps you organise things and somehow makes them seem less frustrating.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Did not sleep worth a crap last night. Had a weird kind of anxiety type feeling mixed with unease and being unable to relax. Kind of like restless leg syndrome but for your WHOLE BODY. Have some really tight uncomfortable muschles up in my upper left back that are bothering me from sleeping funny that weren't helping matters. So anyway, it made it really difficult to sleep last night and now I'm up and getting ready to go mow. Probably won't work much on models today... I have errands to run during, before, and after work as well and I'll likely be really worn out. Going to be this way all weekend and into next week. I am now officially behind at work because the person I was going to pay to mow MY yard disappeared off the face of the damn planet so now not only does my yard need to be mowed, it is REALLY high. This will take no less than 6 hours and I can't even get to it until Tuesday... so.........  then I turn around on Thursday (next week, mind you) and start the "cycle" all over again and I already have FIVE jobs scheduled that day including FOUR lawns... SO.....  (and of course, this is almost a week away, plenty of time for other people to holler at me to get their yard done) so anyways AT BEST I might find enough free time AND energy to work on my One Week GB Next Saturday 8 days from now.     UHHHHHHHH..   :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:             SO yeah, for the first time since I joined the site, I may have to miss the one week GB.  :-\      Unreliable people, man, I swear... this feels a lot like the horrible year in 2017 where I went through employees who refused to show up to work and it rained 2-3 times EVERY WEEK, THE ENTIRE GROWING SEASON and I was behind 95% of the year.

Not real happy.

Also, I'm thinking long term. It's been YEARS since I wasn't in excruciating pain around the 4th of July for Independence Day but this year I'm finally rid of the sciatica for the most part and wanted to grill and host in the backyard for July 4th but I don't think it's going to be possible now. There's no way to make the yard look good. I'll mow it but it's so tall it'll leave debris and piles everywhere and look like garbage. I won't be able to "make it look good" in time for the 4th and I may not even be able to mow it again between next Tuesday and then. ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL these problems because one person proves to be unreliable.

In other news... I managed to decal the Gunship!!! I think the aircraft itself is done, I just need to put the silver transfers on the props then everything can be clear coated then I guess I need to worry about un masking things. Still worried about the side windows, especially the ones transfers went over. Oh well, with me trusty knife I should be able to figure something out.  ;D  Might work on this stuff today if I can. We'll see!

Threw everything off the bench and have focused 100% on the BD-5 ever since the 7th. That said, I've barely done anything. THAT said, it's probably enough to get by!! This is such a simple build. The only problem so far is having to clean up some poorly fitting parts and the seams they created but I've already done most of that and even primed it the first time. I'll be needing to sand it some more today before I prime again I think but it should be the last time and I'll be painting by Saturday which is the last day I have to do anything to it. Hopefully I can paint it, gloss it, decal it, clear it, etc all in one evening or I won't be able to finish it. HOPEFULLY today goes really well, however. That said... I have 5 lawns to mow and trash duty so.....

 ;D

On it! If things go well, I should be able to get back to work on it by 4 this afternoon and I ought to be able to squeeze a good 2-3 hours out of the time between then and bed time depending on energy level. I'm hoping to have some because I should be able to avoid the bulk of the heat today.

I've all but lost the deadline on the one week GB! Things were actually looking pretty decent yesterday on time but I've aggrivated a bad tooth and it is in the most extreme pain mode that it can be. It feels as if someone hammer a screw right through the middle of my tooth, split it, and then right into the gums. I've been gobbling so much pain medicine. It hurts so bad most of the time that I can't do anything!!

I managed a tiny amount of work on the lil feller (Bede) last night but now I'm definitely behind. I'm not giving up, but I'll have to somehow PSR, paint, clear, decal, then re-clear this thing then do fiddly bits all in the span of late-afternoon - evening. It'll be pretty intense, but if my tooth isn't killing me I'm going to GO FOR IT and see where I get.  ;D      By then it will be Saturday evening and I'm not sure when the deadline is here but I think GMT is 7 hours ahead of me which, I think means the deadline could be 5PM local?  I dunno, I'll look into it tomorrow.   I remain optimistic. If I can keep eating tons of pain meds and overlap them so that they don't wear off, I might feel OK enough. Yesterday it made an uncomfortable situation in my stomache from the Naproxen, however, and I'll be seeking to avoid that.   :o

Nothing else to report! Once all the mayhem is over with concerning the GB I'll be back on the finishing aspects of the gunship. It's painfully close to being done. A solid two hours of work (beit all at once, or spread out) is about all that's left. Tiny bit of touch up on the glare patch then last gloss coat then I need to cut out the window decal openings and possibly the masking on the windows themselves. I need to put the decals on the props and clear those. After that, it's just the fiddly bits of the gear. PRobably going to leave off all the tiny antennas and stuff but then again it depends on how I feel about it when I reach that point.  ;D

Anyone have any tips for severe toothache made worse by being on the same side and flaring up trigeminal neuralgia? Thing is, I can't put anything on the tooth or gums as mere pressure or the slightest touch makes it really really bad.

I'm taking:
                  Acetaminophen
Naproxen (So I can't take any more NSAID stuff like aspirin)
                  Tramadol

Any over the counter meds I'm missing? Any home remedies I could try bearing in mind I can't put anything on the area? I've heard of teabags for example but that's out....

This is so bad I can't even eat using the other side of my mouth and I've stopped eating altogether to avoid the pain.

Only good thing I can say is that it feels a little better this morning than it did yesterday so I'm getting better.  I just need to not aggravate it any more and need some relief as the pills I'm taking are starting to not work as well.

MODELLING... well... hmm...  If I can get to the point where I'm not being driven mad with this tooth pain, I'll be working on my little BD-5. Not must time left but then again it's so small it won't take long to work on it anyway so it could be finished if I'm lucky!  ;D

Not pain killing - bacteria killing!

Tastes disgusting but Betadine (iodine) solution used as a mouth wash.

Use it DO NOT RINSE IT OUT & you should feel better in a couple of hours as the bacteria die by the billions. Works best if repeated 2 or 3 times a day for 2 or 3 days.

I use normal Betadine (not the "mouth wash" variant) diluted about 50/50 with hot water, the warm solution then seems to work better than a cold solution.

Iodine, huh? I had been using straight alchol in a syringe and " power washing" the entire area ever so iften with the alcohol and been trying to keep my whole mouth clean with mouth wash (made stronger by dumping exrta alcohol into it) but I RAN OUT of mouthwash. On my way to the store this morning to get more and more alcohol too. I will grab some iodine if they have it at the store.  That sounds like something I can handle. Might make me look like a vampire though, yeah?  ;D

Cloves?? Huh...   well, I have some brown goop that the oral surgeon gave me and I've managed to put that on there in the area but it really doesn't help anyway and it's very tedious trying to apply it for the aforemention reasons. Funny though, I was ruminating last night about how that stuff reminded me of cloves and had a decided clove essence to it, now I know why!!!

Thanks for the tips and anything else y'all can add is much appreciated. I need all the help I can get.

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Healthcare in the America, baby. Not only can I not afford it, they're not open weekends anyway. That's not going to stop me from trying Monday if I'm still in severe pain, however. I just have to find someone that can get me in immediately and also let me make payments. Easier said than done.

Time for a break!  Miracle of miracles, ol' boy and his flunky showed up today and mowed my lawn. Good thing, as I didn't finish my work and make it home until 1PM by which time it was very hot and humid. Anyway, as a result I've been able to work all afternoon and evening on my little BD-5. I've just glossed it and it will need to dry 15-20 minutes then I can start putting decals. Should be done in a couple hours.

Toothache is the pits man.  You have my sympathies.
My goto, when I couldn't get anything stronger has been this;

http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=541702

Take 800mg of ibuprofen every six hours (that's a prescription dose). and then 1000 mg of paracetamol every six hours in intervals

So in otherwords at

1pm you take 800mg of ibuprofren
4pm you take 1000mg of paracetamol
7pm you take another 800mg of ibuprofen
10pm you take another 1000mg of paracetamol
1am you take another 800 mg of ibuprofen
4am you take another 1000mg of paracetamol

And so forth

Of course if you have stomach issues you're going to have to reduce the ibuprofen or not take it. If you have more than 2 drinks a day half the dose of paracetamol.
That'll get you till you see a dentist. Obviously I'm not a doctor but when I've had tooth aches, this is what the ER doctors told me to do.

Obviously you should check that out before using it as it is medical advice picked up from the interweb and passed on to you by someone you only know through a model forum  ;D
However, it has worked for me and allowed me to go to work.  Left me pretty dopey though.  I prolly shouldn't have been driving or operating a heavy parcel trolley.
It takes a while for the drugs to build up in your system so don't expect instant relief.

That's actually astonishingly close to the regimen I've naturally fallen into. I'm taking less ibuprofen at a whack, but the rest is on it. I've been doing 500 of that, but I'll snap one in half next time to get 750 and see how that works. Thanks!!!

I remember when I aggravated it to this level... I was eating a chocolate chip cookie. I think all the sugar got jammed up there or something and set off the nerves. Mixed with the trigeminal neuralgia (a nerve problem that amplifies other nerve stuff) it sent me into pain orbit. I think this means there a cavity in there and I've done more damage to that tooth than cosmetic/function. It will be glorious to get into a dentist!

About to decal the BD-5!    I guess I should be posting this in THAT thread but with no pictures to show I've been skipping it. I'm not sure if I've missed the deadline or not because of the whole GMT thing. I think it means my deadline was 5PM but I'm going to chug along and try to get it finished before midnight my time regardless.
