Stress & anxiety can have some rather strange effects on people, sometimes all the time, sometimes only once, &, oddly, not always the same symptoms twice for the same person.

See how things go, mate, & keep on keeping on!

Indeed it can and way to many people don't take it seriously enough.

Take care

I had no idea...  I always figured stress and stuff would just make you... maybe tired a bit and in a foul mood...  This is has been a learning experience to say the least.

Anyway....  in many ways I'm feeling a lot better today. Still a big groggy upstairs but my energy has returned and I'm in a much imrpoved mood.. Also, the sun has come out for the first time in 6 days and that helped a bit. Went out and worked and got me some fresh air and vitamin D from the solar rays...  Ran errands, hob knobbed with a customer for awhile. Now I'm having lunch. I'm on anxiety meds and that Claratin stuff. I'm determined to keep myself busy as possible and carry on in a normal manner as much as I can so the order for today is to get some chores done after lunch, get things prepped up for the next work day, then I'm going to sit down and tinker with models for the first time in about 2 weeks. I also have some video games planned.

Only thing is....... my lower back is KILLING ME now....    gurneys and hospital bed did a number on me and the weather is acting up big time so I'm in a fair amount of pain but..... good Lord, I'll take this back pain crap.... this is an enemy I know.

I looked and it had been 10 days since I last done any model stuff at all. Not quite two weeks but a hefty chunk of time gone that I could have used for the GB. Regardless, I've gotten back into the swing of things and spent a couple hours getting the main gear situation worked on for the Pluto.

Man this is going to be one goofy looking contraption when I'm done. Hopefully in a good way.

I second Wombys thoughts.

Those wheels look familiar.  What are they from?  I want to say Viggen...

Same here, good to know you're feeling better, brotha!

Cheers, fellers.

The wheels.... uhmmm.... I think...  let's see... the gear struts themselves or whatever are from 1/100 boeing 707 I do believe.... the tires/wheels are different... the forward tire is smaller than the rear... I think one set came from 1/72 Phantom and the larger two came from the 1/100 boeing 707.  I think I listed all this stuff somewhere but can't seem to find it right now. I think this thing is composed of parts from either 8 or 9 different kits. I sure would like to find that... I think it's buried deep here in my blog. I'm going to try to find it.

Oh yay, I found it!!

"This thing has stuff from all over. Including a number of parts I can't place, I have gear from a 1/100 scale Nitto 707 (oh, that's where the enginges came from too) the tires are from 1/72 scale Phantom kit. Canopy is a 1/72 Mustang. Fuselage is 1/72 B-58 pod. Wings are from 1/144 Caravelle. Fin is from 1/72 F-15.  Not sure where all the cockpit parts came from. Drop tanks and arrestor hook came from aforemention Phantom kit. "

Not too awfully long ago myself and a couple of the rest of us were discussing colors... in particular red and orange as I was remarking about how I just don't understand how in most cases people can confuse orange for red or vice versa. Not that I haven't fallen prey, either....

What color is this?  (I'll spoil it below)

I thought it was RED for the longest time. It's orange. TV show, so since I'm not staring at the cloth with my own eyes and various other things came into play it stands to reason that it would be easy enough to say this is "red." I mean, it's pretty ambiguous, yeah?  Go watch the show, "The Orville" and see what you think....

But then....   I see something like this, and someone will say, "look at the orange on that airplane!!!!"

I sez, "What orange? Where?"

And it could well BE orange, too, but it LOOKS red to me. I can see where someone who was already aware that the actual paint was orange could say that it was, BUT, if you had never seen this aircraft before and had NO prior knowledge of it, I don't see how someone could look at all that red and say, "that's orange."

So anyway... I had been rolling this around in my head and the other night took a couple pics of things I had sitting around.

Point being that ......   when set side by side, it's BLATANTLY obvious that these colors aren't the same, so how in the hell is it that people confuse them even with two different people look at the same exact picture from the same source (meaning, if we were both here in my room looking at my computer monitor, I see red, you see orange or vice versa, thus eliminating variance).

Just a bit of pondering and rumination. Thought it would be fun to drag up this old argument(?) again.  ;D

The two colors look pretty distinct to my eyes but i believe that depending on the monitor colors settings and photo quality, they could be confusing to some...?  :-\

What gets me are when two people can look at the same thing at the same time... like.... if you and I were both standing on a street corner getting ready to cross the street to go to the dispo...... and there's a traffic cone in the street and I point at it and say, "Look at the little red traffic cone!" Then you look at me like I'm crazy (because I'm wrong, obviously) and you say, "No, that's orange!"     I know we all see color differently but to my mind, these colors are separate enough that it shouldn't happen as often. Like.......   no one confuses red with blue... for instance..... but they confuse red for orange...  :o       For my money, red and orange are closer than red and blue but they're still different enough that there shouldn't be confusion in many instances where I am seeing it.   Like I said, I'm not immune myself, though, but in most cases I can look at red or orange and say without a doubt that it's one or the other. I've never seen a red fire engine and think it was orange. Pumpkins aren't red, etc.

Yeah, i have to agree, they're different enough to my eyes too and it does seem weird that some folks get them mixed up. Daltonism and color blindness don't apply there so it might be some other type of condition, i guess... :-\

Men and women always see colours differently, the female of the species can probably distinguish about 100 times more colour variations than the average male

The key word there is 'average'.

We modellers are much more sensitive to changes in small shades of colour I reckon.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Possibly, but I still think different people "see" colours differently. We modellers are lucky, or a lot of us anyway, we have a framework which we can use to describe a colour, RAF WWII Dark Earth for instance, most other groups don't.
