Aw man, come on. This year is trying its best to do me in. On top of everything else, the corporate big wigs all the way up the chain of command where my trash collection contracts originates have said to halt all services to the shopping center so the people I contract with can't go mow and work on the landscape and I can't pick up garbage until further notice. Thus, a healthy chunk of my income has up and evaporated before my eyes. Not sure when things will get going again. Hopefully no more than a month or so.  :banghead:   Things could be worse, though!

No work on builds today. I spent my time working cleaning up the yard and other chores. Went and mowed a lawn before that. Now, time for supper then I'm going to play some video games and have a few beers and a sip or two of moonshine. It's funny that mentioned 'shine a week or two ago in a thread around here then the other day I had the opportunity to score some. Ain't nothing in the liquor store can top good 'shine!  ;D

Could be worse mate.  At least it's mowing season so you'll be getting some business from that direction.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Hell yeah!    If this happened in.. like... November, I'd be screwed!  ;D   This is weatherable and I don't see it going on for too long..   Mid May perhaps?  Might not even be that long.

Regarding work, the same is also happening to me as i still have to do 3 days a week at the wine estate. Although all the employees are on a layoff situation as i am, i'm still in a better situation then most of them who are working either 30 or 10% of the schedule and i obviously get more money than they do. Still, while i don't want to be casting fear over the whole situation, this seems like it will take quite a bit longer to settle down and allow for normality to return to our lives...  :-\ Don't get me wrong, i am hoping for the best but i'm also expecting the worst... stay safe, brotha!

I'm trying. I feel like I'm losing the battle, though. I try my best to pull it together and trudge on but there seems to be a relentless onslaught waging against me for some reason. I now have PEOPLE making things so much worse and then I got sick again with some food poisoning so now I'm all half depressed and feel like I have bad flu again after murdering the commode with attempts at getting the bad food out. On top of all that, my mood being so bad as it is had me giving the dog the leftovers I didn't eat, something I'd normally never do.... he eats dog food, not people food... but anyway... so naturally he got the same thing and pooped ALL... OVER... the damn living room so I had to get up early and clean all that poo-poo up whilst being accosted with people problems then I had to go mow all day feeling like this and now here we are today.... I'm trying to get the motor running but all the meds and coffee are barely making a dent in it and I just feel like a zombie and look like one, too. I look like I've been beaten in the face from the dark circles under my eyes. I need to get out and about to run a few errands... I have a lawn type job to look at and need to "patrol" a bit and check up on 2-3 others and need to get some groceries but I can't seem to get myself up off my chair.

ANYWAY...  I think I'm a bit dehydrated right now from releasing food poison demon and mowing lawn yesterday so chugging a bunch of water (especially after drinking this coffee which I think I recently heard was a diuretic! ) will help and I bet I feel better after lunch then it's back to the Pluto. The glue for the nose weight is dry now so I can glue the fuselage together finally. I'm looking forward to it.  Looking forward to anything right now is a good sign.

For now...... I'm off into the city. I bet a good drive-around will make me feel better, too, if I can just get myself out the door and go do it!

Regarding things getting back to normal..  I'm betting you're right, DFZ, and it'll be awhile for things to get back to normal and I bet many things will be permanently altered. Just the way society conducts affairs in general....  new markets will spring up (already seeing this) and like all markets, they're not going to want to go away again so we'll be seeing things like designer masks being sold long after this is "over." Things like "curbside" and stuff for places that previously didn't have it will adopt it permanently, etc. More to the point, though, we keep seeing worsening results every day from places like NYC and while I remain hopeful for MY area out here in what is retalivey "bumf*ck" so long as major population centers are worsening, there will be no conclusion. The possibility will always exist that things could spread from those areas despite lockdown orders so even if things APPEAR peachy down here in Oklahoma, things could turn around and get worse so .... yeah... they could keep us all clamped down based upon what's happening thousands of miles away. If this happens, I don't know what I'm going to do because while I have my lawn money to fall back on, it's not going to be enough to do certain things like pay my taxes or pay for my business liability insurance. I can get on payments for that insurance, I suppose, but that create's its own problems and the thing with the taxes.... well...  I did a payment plan on that stuff two years ago and the IRS only allows it once every 5 years so I'll just be unable to pay my taxes. I was going to use stimulus money for that but now all of a sudden with the majority of my income GONE I'll be needing that money for necessities simply to live.

Uh oh!!  Getting long winded again.  ;D

Changed my mind about working on the Pluto. I'll get to that tomorrow. Today I just decided to blitzkrieg chores and house projects to get a lot of good exercise and get everything nice and neat, cleaned, and organized. All this has improved my mood quit a bit and the place looks snazzy. I'm cooking a huge pan of food at the same time so I figured it was a good idea to not be distracted so I don't vulcanize my food or something.

All this leaves tomorrow open for a productive day getting the Pluto inline. The weather is going to be really nasty so there's no point in scheduling any work, I can get back to that Tuesday and throughout the rest of the week. I have a few more lawns to do including that new one that I'll be doing three times a year.. it's just a workshop that I will have to weedeat. It's pretty large, though, so I can charge a decent amount. This will help a bit with money problems!

Video Games this evening but I reserve the option to watch TV instead if I find the games boring at which point I might go ahead and get back to work on the Pluto a little bit early.

Alright, damnit, let's try this again. Yesterday I knocked out a ton of chores so I can model guilt free. Weather is also quite shithouse so no use getting out to mow lawns. I mean.... I would, if it weren't so windy. Windchill down in the itty bitty numbers. SO.....    I have one small errand to run then I can spend time this afternoon working on the Pluto!  I'm starting to think this thing will work out. To my astonishment, I've managed to create a place for the main gear and that was the most problematic thing of the entire project I do believe.

I keep glancing at my Tristar.... it's largely finished. I'm in the decals phase and I have this mega set of ultra detail wankery stuff that goes all over the place. I might try to find some time to work on this because the thing is just laying there like this right now:

See what I mean? It looks damn near finished as is. lol  Only construction left is gluing on the gear and doors... and the engines. Everything else is transfers work.

But uhhh... all that depends on how well things go with the Pluto, I suppose. As long as I'm fighting a deadline I will continue to dump all my model time into it until I'm convinced I can relax a little and I'll actually make said deadline.

Cool!   Everything worked out pretty good today.

This strange airplane is starting to come along. I'm still refining the gear nacelles but I got the fuselage together so in the meantimes I can advance other parts of the build which I've done so... been doing things like painting and what not.

Found a meme with a dog in it.

Good to hear

Hope those tornadoes didn't affect you ?
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

DogfighterZen

Good to know you're feeling better, mate!  The way things are going in NYC is scary but if everyone does their part, i'm sure y'all be safe around there. I'm sure that being a modeller, you're pretty good at social distancing so you should be ok.  ;)
Those are big wings there...  I'm sure Kit will love that... ;D

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Yeah, man, really... aside from certain shortages at stores my life has largely been unaltered... I'm an intorvert, if I'm not working (or running errands/groceries) I AM at home. I maybe once a year host a small get-together here but going OUT to socialize hasn't happened in years. I do miss it sometimes and it's kind of sad but then again I'm perfectly happy being home. When I'm not home..... know where I want to be? Home. I mean.....  It's like.... I'm not spending any extra time at home as a result of this stuff... because this is always were I'm at anyway.  ;D

Glad you're feeling better and have at least some work.  The places I miss going most are museums.  And I could use a haircut, and it'd be nice to take my daughter to a playground now that the weather is getting better.

Hm.  Maybe I should pull my kits out.  But, 4-year-old, so too much risk of damage, and honestly, not much time to do stuff on my own.

TheChronicOne

Thank you!

Hopefully this level of being cooped up will go be done with within the next 2-3 weeks. Not so sure about that, but uhh.... wishful thinking I guess?  Haircuts!!!  That's one I think a lot of people were caught off guard about. I'm starting to see more and more people mention it and one of my friends was quite upset about it.  ;D   Once again, I luck out, because I cut my own hair and did so yesterday morning in fact. But.... I definitely sympathize. My clippers busted once and I went something like 4-5 weeks without a haircut and it was driving me mad there toward the end.
