Well, it KIND OF worked!   ;D   Mowing lawns today was a bit rough but I brought a ton of cold water and I moved very fast and got some good exercise out of the whole deal. It improved my mood and I was feeling better overall. I wound up getting the de-icers on the engine cowlings masked.     I also put a couple more pieces of tape on the fin in preperation for doing that but then I stopped because I think I'd like to try to paint some half-way fancy decorative stuff on the fin like a red stripe across the top and maybe angle it down toward the front of the fin and maybe do something on the outsides of the wing tip fuel tanks. I'll investigate that further tomorrow.

Man there's some type of weird psychological thing going on I'm sure of it. I'll sit around and get NOTHING done then when I finally own up and say, "Well, I'm going to stop building for a little while" it's like a fight between the devil and the angel on my shoulders.....it's like.... the other half of my brain, the more subconscious side, say, "How dare you tell me what to do! I'll show you!!!!!!!"   It's weird...

Anyway... I'm HOPING today is a bit less draining with the lawn stuff I have to do then I can do a little painting and a bit more masking this evening. I just want to paint a little red on the fin for interest and leave it at that but it means I have to paint, let it dry, then turn around un mask and remask the same area... in short, it's going to take a little while.

Bro, don't stress about it, just go with the flow. You won't be enjoying it if you feel like you have to do it... do it whenever you feel like doing it.
I'm sure we've all been through similar situations... at least, i know i have. Sometimes i spend the day at work thinking of what i want to do on the bench and then i get home and after a bath and dinner, no will to do any modelling at all, i'll just chill and leave it for another day...
And that can go on for weeks! Then i'll get all psyched up and spend almost complete days at the bench and get lots done.
Just take it easy, brotha.

Don't push it.  It's a hobby not a job.  Do it when you want to.  If you don't, don't.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Thanks, fellas. My problem was mood assault and it's getting better. Couple with exhaustion from work I was neither energized or "happy" enough to do anything.

Getting better though like I said and today was a less strenuous day out in the field so I've been masking and painting again.

Thanks, Rui.

Y'all are the best. It's been a bit difficult holding things together lately and it's a welcome respite to come here to WIM and see my friends.  <_<

Good Ol' Freddie! I finally got around to watching that Bohemian Rhapsody (I hope that's what they called it, I'm so terrible at titles sometimes) movie about him a couple weeks ago.

Well, I finished the Pluto.

"Navy A-10" or something.

Now what? I think I said last time that I would focus on getting my ongoing airliner builds finished and also take a look at something for the one week GB. I guess I'll do that. I need that one week thing... I need to start and finish an easy going build. With this in mind, my next efforts in model stuff will be to fish through my stuff and find something adequate for it. After that...... I think I'll get back to the Tristar.

Thanks, fellers. I love how it turned out.

Thoughts now turn to the one week GB. I need this thing to get my steam back. Of course, once again, I've chosen some somewhat obscure short-ish run kit from Eastern Europe that will likely test all abilities but... whatever... at least it's small! I have an idea to make an East German "Wall Patrol" airplane and I have a MiG-8 that should work. I have the kit and markings ready to go, it's just a matter of getting it done.
