Beyond tired of things going wrong literally every day. Now my much needed check for picking up trash is apparently late. lol  Apparently, hell, it IS late. Supposed to be here today but I ain't going to say anything. Last time I was treated as if I was making it all up so I'll wait about a month when the NEXT one is supposed to show up. I can make it on lawn money at this point if nothing else breaks but it would have been nice to get that money into the bank.

I haven't really made up my mind about how to proceed today. I need to start the two day process of mowing my own lawn but instead I'm going to be trying to find a lender to give this paper work to. I want winter back!  ;D

Cool news is I think I'll be back to my F-86 this evening. Or... you know what? I might mess with my F-16XL because it's actually pretty close to being finished. I need to get SOMETHING finished. I need the mood boost. I'm just barely keeping hobbies alive right now. I've given up on video games.. It's been months on that and I'll probably not try that again until winter but if I can find motivation I can keep the models going if I can find a way to work on them while being exhausted. I swear, you'd think something easy going like models or video games would be easy enough to do but at the end of the day even doing that is just too much! It's weird... it's basically all just sitting in a chair and doing things with your hands so why the hell is it so hard to do?  :-\   Like I said, I think if I can get something COMPLETED it will help things so that's sort of the goal this evening... work on something and move toward the finish line.

Called every bank on the list from the SBA website... no one taking the paperwork. I even found out that it can be submitted through Paypal but they stopped taking applications 4 days ago. What the hell good is a timetable/deadline if the people won't adhere to it?! Like a teacher that says your homework is due on Friday but they don't tell you that they actually stopped taking it on Wednesday, so when you go to turn it in on Thursday, with a day to spare, they say, "Oh, woops, although we didn't bother telling you, we decided to stop taking homework on Wednesday instead of Friday like we told you."          Crappy Ridiculous Application Process.

Wow man!!! I decided not to give up on my loan thingy. First I went out to the local university to speak with the person at their uhhh... small business helpy thing center and met the most gorgeous and beautiful Dr. Lankford. Wow! She was flirting with me a bit, too... holy smokes.. best part of the day. She gave me some ideas and leads so I went off and visited a bank that wasn't listed on the website as a lender just to find I missed THEIR cut off by.... get this.... FOUR HOURS.  If only I had known.......

Anyway, at this point I decide to go to my bank which is around the corner from that one.... to ask one last time in person if they could push that paper work through only to be told.... GET THIS.... that the cut off was last night at midnight. I'm like.... HOLD UP......... I submitted the paper work over 24 hours BEFORE that deadline so why didn't you accept it? Then they said, "well, you didn't have the updated form.... the loan application form was updated June 5th (or whatever). So I was like.... OK, instead of telling me I was too late when obviously I wasn't, why didn't you say, "Mr. Myers, this form is out of date but you still have 24 hours left to get the updated one in. "  I ain't never seen such a poo-poo show... I eventually wound up talking to the bank manager and while it didn't get anything done I let him know about the little white lies and fibs I was told about the god damn deadline.... about how the goal posts kept moving and every time I seemingly met their own requirements a new set of stealth mystery requirements emerges. It's like Schroedingers Deadline or something.... I simultaneously met but did not meet the deadline.

ANY WAY YOU SLICE IT.... I met all deadlines... the June 30th deadline and the "last night at midnight" deadline both but I still got screwed. Story of my life....   do everything right... do everything required only to fail because of some mystery guidelines and requirements no one bothered to tell me existed. So fed up with it all.  :-\

I give up. So the bank tells me about this program Oklahoma is doing that is sort of similar to the PPP but I need to act quickly because the first 50 million was snapped up in half a day. I says... ok... I'll try.....  so....  send me the poo-poo and I'll get to work on it. Heres everything theey want:

Application – completed and signed by both the borrower AND you
Rules – All 11 pages – need to be initialed AND signed by the customer and signed by you
Certification Letter – signed by the customer AND you
Photograph of your Oklahoma's Driver's License or State Identification Card
Documentation to determine revenue losses
Documents showing revenue received from business activities from January to May 2020
Documents showing revenue received from January through May 2019 if the business was operating prior to the year 2020.
Documentation to determine average payroll
Payroll documentation indicating the business's average 2019 monthly payroll, if the business was operating in 2019 – you can use 2019 941's to determine this, OR IF APPLICABLE, the 2019 Schedule C
Payroll documentation indicating the average of the business's January and February 2020 monthly payroll – the 1st Qtr 2010 941 should have a breakdown to show January, February and March 2020
                                                               i.      **** use the same calculation on payroll as we did for PPP:  SUTA can be included, retirements benefits, health insurance premiums, etc. – see page 2 of the Rules for more explanation

Documents proving current business ownership, formation prior to 01/01/2020 and continuous business activity from 01/01/2020 through the OBRP application date – State of Oklahoma Certificate of Incorporation
Proof of Payment of most recent quarterly taxes with the Oklahoma Tax Commission – 1st Qtr 941
A copy of a birth certificate or passport or tribal ID to indicate minority status

I can't even decipher half of this mess. What the hell is a god damn SUTA. I don't pay my taxes quarterly, I pay once a year. Birth certificate? Drivers license????  Documentation of a lack of things? I document all my money but I don't have some "official" form.. it's all me writing the poo-poo down in my book keeping. I don't have proof of a lack of something. How the frak do I even show proof of a dip in income???  A blank peiece of paper?  I DIDN'T get a check for the trash poo-poo for one and half month how the hell do I document this? I'm not even going to bother. They may as well ask me to fly to the moon and back with all this crap.

OH WELL!!!  I'm going to work on my F-16XL if I can get my mood centered again.  ;D

Working on my F-16XL!   Bit of a rough start (a bit difficult getting started on a stalled build last worked on 5-6 months ago) but I've started working on finishing the paint job.  Oddly enough, the passage of time has had me re-assess some of the camoflauge pattern...   kind of sort of going with a Euro-1 thing but I can switch things up a bit with the shade and patterns of the grey.  Or maybe not... we'll see. Good thing is I'm trying it.  ;D

Bureaucrats  eh.  Same the world over.  Loving their red tape and making it hard for the average guy.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

Very much so.

There's no way I can get all that crap together they asked for so I'm not going to bother. There is, however, this thing called an EIDL loan and i'll be working on THAT this afternoon. It's different and from what I can tell so far, *I* can submit things directly to the SBA people instead of all this rigg amarole bullshit having to go through a bank and all that.

In other news, still no mower, still no check!  ;D  Oh well...  I have a little lawn to mow today then I'm skipping mine.. it's overgrown already but I need to try to get this stupid EIDL loan thing before it runs out of money again.  ;D  You know what has happened? This stuff is meant for small businesses but huge multibillion dollar corporations went in and snapped up all the damn money. Some of them were busted but a great many were not so we have people like Wal Mart (not saying they did, but just using them as an example of the LAST type of entity these loans were for) getting all the loan money while little people like me were left on our bottoms to twist in the breeze. They shut down that program completely for awhile but it's open again. But whatever who cares after I get that done it's back to the F-16XL.  Maybe I can finish with the camo on it tonight.

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

TheChronicOne

Hi, Moritz!  Thanks for dropping in. It seems to have helped. That first day I got next to nothing done on the model but yesterday evening I made ground on the camo scheme and finally made up my mind on how to proceed with it.... I just need to touch it up a little and weather it a little then it's on to detail paint. I painted a little on the Aim-9 missiles, as well. Today I am more motivated again so I'm looking forward to getting back to it after a bit of work related stuff. Should make for a nice evening! I'm actually pretty close to being done with this thing and if I can hit my stride I could finish this sucker off within the next few days.

Lawns strike again. Calls coming in... it's Independence Day this weekend and also.... erm...the weekend so I'm dealing with folks calling wanting service so now all of a sudden I have 3 lawns tomorrow in the near 100 degree heat and ultra humidity so I've shifted gears and have been prepping for this instead of model stuff this evening. It takes quite a bit of planning and preparation to march off into battle in these conditions so it has taken awhile. It hasn't eaten away the entire evening but now I'm in a different mind-frame so I'll just try again tomorrow on the XL.    Feels good to have a purpose, though!  ;D   I'll try again tomorrow although I've messed up the schedule because of getting lazy and doing loan crap instead of mowing my own lawn. Good news is slightly cooler weather is predicted for early next week so I stand a fair chance of getting caught up but it's looking like I'll be reaaaaally tired for a few days and will probably keep playing hooky on the builds for awhile.

Trudging along now. I've made time to get some work done. I used the July 4th holiday as an excuse to, late in the evening (after working myself to death inside the house and out) ,try to do some hobby time guilt-free and it worked. I finally found some peace. But... how rare? Even when no one is bothering me about it, I've been conditioned after time to instantly start feeling like a lazy piece of crap and guilty the minute I engage in "free time" unless there's a "good" reason for it. Last time was about 2 months ago when it rained all day and it magically meshed with also having knocked out the inside of the house chores the day prior. That day I finally had a "Good" reason to engage in leisure. Now, months later, I find another one. Messed up thing is it shouldn't take extreme circumstances to have to happen as a pre-requisite for being happy with just doing fun things.  :-\

A bit of happy and sad this post. Like I said, I was pretty stoked to get some work done on my model..... got a bunch of detail painted on the weapons for the F-16XL......

Missiles and stuff!

Check it out, though..... I'm getting close to finishing this one. It's going to be fun to wrap up a build. I'm liking how this is turning out. Even with the heavy work load I'm predicting this one to be completed by the weekend.

Brad, it took a TIA (baby stroke) & cancer to finally drive it through my skull that to really feel fulfilled in life I needed to put aside time (not "make time") to do what pleases me.

I may slightly overdo it, now, but I really do feel better & much more relaxed when I do.

There are days when Real Life gets in the way but, even then, I usually drop by here to check in with you guys.

Keep hangin' in there, mate!

That's going to be a FEARSOME weapons load on that XL!  :o

Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model
