Aye!!!  I wish it would stop interfering. There are times I wish I could uhhh.. "retire" as it were but then... how do I sustain myself?! And I need exercize that comes from the work so... well... I guess I'm in it to win it for the the next 30 years or so.

I knocked yet another thing off the list of things to do Wednesday when I went and got the J&J vaccine. I had the actual virus a year ago (spoke about it at the time, calling it a "mystery illness" that became painfully obvious was covid) so I was hoping the side effects wouldn't be as bad but they were worse. I was so weak it took all the effort I could manage just to get out of bed then I was extremely dizzy and couldn't keep my balance. Severe body, joint, and headaches.. stomach issues and got so weak that couldn't even manage to go to the bathroom... (good thing because I was so dizzy that getting there would be rough). Anyway... when I started getting stronger again the floodgates opened and I was back and forth with diarhea and stuff... just miserable...lungs HURT... winded....  couldn't sleep... going from sweating and hot to uncontrollable shaking and chills and back... UGH...    BUT... that's one more thing off the list!!  ;D   And now I'm nearly 48 hours past when I had the jab and feel a lot better, although not 100% yet (some of that might be the junk food and candies I was eating in bed like a big dumbass....  sugar crash is real!)

Anyway.... I plan on working on my airplane this evening.

Thanks for the well wishes and advice, y'all!

Glad to hear you're jabbed. Even if it's painful now, it will keep you alive, and to be honest, that's what counts. There will be new variants that could reinfect someone who already has had another, earlier variant, and then pose a real threat - however the studies that are made all point towards at least full protection against serious or deadly disease.

Still waiting to get off my antibiotics to be able to get the vaccine here. I'm jealous!
Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition!

Thanks! I'm actually kind of stoked, now... the virus itself whooped me arse for a month solid and was one of the more miserable times of my entire life but it was during a slow time with work so it didn't cost me much financially...... so..... NOW... with that AND the vaccine, I'm like.... REALLY Immunized now! Damned ol' immune system is stalwart now.  ;D   Anyway.... I'm now at 49 hours and 40 minutes since the jab and feeling quite fine. I'm even out working doing the high physical labor stuff. Good to get it out of the way. I hit a drive-through clinic. The whole operation took 20 minutes, including the 15 minute wait period and didn't so much as even get out of my truck. I sat there drinking coffee and cleaning up the cab then left and went grocery shopping.  ;D

Cheers, folks!!!  Damn straight I'm back... as far as I can tell. ha!  I survived yesterday doing a whole 4 properties even then made it home got chores done and worked about half an hour or a little more on the little Cessna.

I WOULD have worked more on it but my video surveillance system went tits up on me and it took some two hours to figure out what was wrong. Research looking up stuff on the internet... finding MAD-CONFUSING FAQ sections... I mean.. for a Chinese company they really provide pretty stellar online support with videos and all kinds of stuff but it's confusing to me because I've never dealt with this crap before and also... the translation is wonky sometimes...Mandarin or whatever to English...  yeeesh. So I was doing all kinds of stuff including resetting the entire thing and re-setting it up and blah blah blah.
ANYWAY.....     it all came down to me simply.............................. unplugging the damn camera and plugging it back in. 2 minutes. NEXT TIME I'LL TRY THAT FIRST.    ;D

But yeah, that interrupted me model time but I'll be back at it this evening. I plan to have the nose and wings on it and then we'll have an actual plane finally and something worth pictures. I'm at the point now where I'm considering paint schemes...  In my mind's eye, I envision it being all white and the decals and markings will provide the contrast but I might put some small "flair" here and there... you know... stuff like a small stripe on top of the vertical stab, etc.

Yeah, sometimes it's the simplest thing that does the job... something I have to remember to try FIRST...  :banghead:

WRT the paint scheme, I agree that the odd detail is better than great swathes of colour(s) - less is more.

If it has electronics in it, especially if it's a computer this always works:

If not, percussive maintenance works.

;D ;D ;D    Funny... good stuff. It's weird how often that solves things. A quick aside: Wooo, I'm pretty impressed with the ginger lady IT professional!  ;D

Sometimes at the end of these problems I feel like such an idiot.. I used to be really on top of electronics and computers and stuff but... not anymore! It's so much easier to learn and adapt in younger age and while I'm not even that old, I'll be 40 this year and that's "old enough" to be past the time when our brains are more able to accommodate and also at a point that it's difficult and less motivating to even find the time to learn.

Cessna... I did more work on it but not as much because I decided to garden a little bit..  BUT, I did settle on some ideas for the paint job and managed to get the nose glued on. I was about to do the wings then decided I'd take a little time first to dry fit that problematic rear window and make sure that I wouldn't be making the job more difficult by gluing the wings on without checking first.

Anything electronic I always turn it off, count to 100 and turn it back on again before I try anything else. Amazing how often it works.

With the p.c.'s at work I used to threaten to throw them out the window, we were on the 15th floor at one stage, if they screwed up. Amazing how often that worked  ;). When we moved offices and were only on the 3rd floor it wasn't quite as effective so I had to resort to dealing with our house IT guy which could get quite interesting

When my ISP (Cr@pcast) decides to drop our data, I unplug the modem, wait for the internet light on the router to go out, and then plug back in.  And, of course, if I call and complain, I'll get the "I see you're using your own modem.  Our signal is getting through, it must be with your modem and you need to talk to their support.  Thank you for choosing Comcast (like I have a choice); have a nice day. *CLICK*"

Back when I worked for the railway I got excellent IT support.  Possibly because Mrs z was running that department.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

It's not WHAT you know, but WHO you know that counts.   ;D

I used to get excellent service while getting seat reservations when I was at BR, but that may have been because the late Mrs_PR19 was in charge of that Department at the Tech Centre.......  ;)
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)
