Unbelievable "diorama"

Not Whif (I don't think, anyway) but this is really mind blowing work..

Found on the "Plastimodelismo - Scale Modeling" Facebook page. The frustrating part: NO INFORMATION GIVEN on who actually built it.  I'm assuming whomever owns the page built it all.  EDIT: This group of photos was in turn "shared" by another modelling page -"Scale Aircraft Modelling - SAM" and they have a credit listed:

"General Frost
by Boris Karaev"

Your guess is as good as mine as to scale, materials, etc. Dare I say, whoever made this stuff Boris Karaev is a Master Modeler.

But where does the diorama end and either real world or photos of the real world start?

Those wooded backgrounds and the sunshine are too real to be made out of modeling materials. I'm pretty sure that the backgrounds don't match between the different photos. But I cannot tell where the real world begins.

Great work, however it was accomplished.

Staged outdoors I would assume; the light artifacts in a couple of pictures from the sun overlap the scale figures and the 109.

What you're thinking is exactly what I was thinking..... "Where does the built stuff end and the RW start?!!  "  Not sure how much of it utilized photographs for back ground but I think most of it is an immaculately well posed diorama with actual outdoors as the back ground. Boris has skills at model making AND photography it would seem. This guy is something else. I'm super impressed.

"Seamless," is a good word for it. Just amazing work!

Seamless is exactly right! I was trying to tell if the guard tower was RW or part of the diorama. Still not sure. The figures, car, dog and snow all come together perfectly. Makes me shiver looking at it.

That is, quite likely, the most impressive diorama & photo staging I've ever seen!

I'd say the guardtower is a part of the diorama - compared to the background it is in different relative positions in various photos.

The snowdrift behind the plane & car seems to be the part of the diorama too and would act nicely in blending it to the landscape.

The white "foreground" (or foremost in the background) trees that have shed their leaves also seem to be part of the diorama, as their position relative to the still partially green spruces (?) in the very background seems to change.

Still, it's a masterwork and NOT knowing it might be a miniature (and thus starting to look for telltale signs) would pass for the real thing, and exceptionally well photographed as well. Again, there's no substitute for real sunlight and the great outdoors.

Amazing work. The Alsatian in particular is very realistic
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Not sure why you would reverse the car to the plane.

Bril tho.
Whatever.

There's a snow bank right behind the Me 109, perhaps as protection from shrapnel, so there'd be no other option other than to reverse in.

Anyway it's a Citroen so it'd be front wheel drive and they'd have better traction in reverse.  ;D ;)

It's a rental and they were finding out how fast it would go in reverse?
Apparently some people have been known to do that sort of thing.  Allegedly...

There's always half a truth in a joke ;)

If you park a front-wheel drive car in a snowdrift, it's better to do it in reverse. This way, your driving wheels are where there is (hopefully!) better traction, if you drive too deep into the drift, or if the far end sinks into the snow, or something.

Also, whether with a front- or rear-wheel drive car, you usually have more gears going forward than in reverse (unless you have a DAF or a Volvo 300 series with the wonky continuously variable transmission), so if your tires just spin when you try to start, going forward you can try to change to a higher gear and thus lower the torque to a more controllable level that hopefully gains more traction.
