Actually, since Halloween is coming up, you could paint a big ghost on the plane too, thereby making it the Heeby Jeeby GB Gee-Bee....

Coat? Hat?  ;D ;)

Wouldn't a white sheet and/or a broomstick be more appropriate?

Tried HB Hereford today, they had nothing and had not even heard of Lindberg......

Actually if enough of us buy the Lindberg racers and have them painted in spooky British schemes and owned by the Gibb Brothers, we could have a Group Build called the Bee Gees' Heeby Jeeby GB Gee-Bee GB.....

If Robin and Barry got one each and equipped them with air-powered plastic pellet guns, we could have....

Nearest store to me is Orpington, after that Beckton, then Hounslow  :o

Shame as I might have got one or two just for nostalgia's sake.

Interestingly the Home Bargain's website doesn't even know where my postcode is, it thinks I'm in Penge  :banghead: So not sure if I should rely on their store locator

What would you like Chris ?

Well I'd have gone for the Do 335 and Hs 129B

Snagged the HS129B and a He162 for you Chris, not many left at the local shop and the other one had nowt.

If you get a chance to get an He 162 and/or a Me 163 for RAFF-35 could you do that please? I said I'd try to get them for him but I'm having zero luck so far.

Got two boxes of the Me163s as not a lot left now

Revisited three local stores today and saw a Mens' Gifts section set up. It's at the start of the store after the Special Buys section and usually on the opposite side to the Womens' Gifts section which is full of the boxed toiletries sets that I'm sure anyone who's forgotten an elderley aunt will recognise from those panicky Christmas Eve dashes around Boots.... ;) The Mens' Gifts section is mainly characterised by moody black boxes with go-faster stripes, containing everything from aftershave to mini-golf toys...

Results were variable:

One store had no kits in the entire shop.

One store only had a few Douglas Stilettos in the Mens' Gifts section.

Aaaand one store had a range of kits back on display in the toy section after they vanished from there a few days ago... :banghead: I got a couple of extra B-1s. They also had lots of F-86As, a couple of 1/48th Gladiators, a Hellcat, a quad 20mm flak halftrack and a Harrier.

Leading Observer

A visit to the two Home Bargins stores in Letchworth [Why the Garden City needs two I don't know, but both were busy] I acquired the following Lindberg offerings, all 1/72:

Dornier Do-235
Curtiss Helldiver SB2C
Heinkel He-162 x2
Heinkel He-100
Grumman F6F Hellcat
Me-163 Komet x2
Me-410 x2
Henschel Hs-129B
SD.Kfz. 7/1 20mm AA Half-track

In the new store I also picked up the Airfix Curtiss Tomahawk IIB and Fw190A-8 starter sets

The Wooksta!

I find it somewhat ironic that many modellers are salivating at the mouth and rushing out to buy kits that were well past their prime in the 80s and have either slated or eschewed with a sniff when seen in bargain bins at shows in their Revell boxed guises.
