This is a Swift F7 as imagined in squadron service, markings are for 56 Sqd RAF , based on those carried by the F1. The F7 was only used by trials units and by the end of it's use had proved to be quite a successful aircraft/ weapons combination. Bill Gunston , the aviation writer , quoted a Supermarine engineer as saying that the RAF had discarded the best weapons system availible to them in the F7 , but then he would have said that , wouldn't he ?.

Model is converted from the 1/72 Xtrakit FR5 with scratchbuild additions and missiles.

A cracking job you've made of that.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)
