Let me show you something I designed long time ago.

Those look good.

Fuselage halves are now glued together and work has started on covering over the cockpit area and providing something to mount the nose engine on.

This is the rough shape the nose behind the front engine will be.  I think another window at the front is called for.

It is.  PSR on the nose took forever.  However, now the parental visitors have departed its full steam ahead.
I started work on the spats as well today.
The wing to root join is an issue.  It's a horrible fit with a pronounced step.

I knew i'd seen passenger aircraft with a dorsal cockpit but couldn't put my finger on them until Jon C-F posted a picture of a DH-83 Fox Moth in another thread.

Engines wedged in place.
I forgot to check the clearance between the wing engine props and the new section of fuselage.
I got away with it, just.
Hands up who thinks it's over engined?

Don't know about over engined but the props need a trim me-thinks

They don't hit anything so other than sanding them I was going to leave them as they are.

Oh man that is looking so good ! I hate it/ love it when you smart guys blow us 'paints kit differently' guys out of the water lol. And I see what you're saying about the cockpits set back aeroplanes, I had never really thought if it before, but all of a sudden find myself thing about it !

Hey, less of the self depreciation dude.  I aint so smart.  This is just gluing bits together and slapping on filler.   

I've now built the undercarriage which consists of Beaufighter wheels inside Heyford (what else?) spats.

I've also trimmed 5mm off of each propeller blade.  Sure, they cleared the fuselage but it was awful close and one of them may have hit the centre engines exhaust.
Having the undercarriage built means major construction is complete and painting can commence.  I want a 1930's  vibe and I think cream and blue will give that.
