This one won't be getting the rising sun wing patterns but some blue scallops akin to a pre war charabanc, omnibus or motor coach.

I have deemed the paint fully gassed out and so painted the engines black and the spats blue today.
I need to do something about the exhausts as I don't want to use the original spiky ones.

The blue is on.  Masked with Tamiya bendy tape which worked rather well.  Probably because I didn't overlap it and it was on a smooth glossy surface with no raised or engraved detail.
