Looking at museums to visit and the Solent Sky Museum came up, featuring this chap with his large model. Can you spot the what-if?

The talk is on Wednesday 9th November and sounds interesting. Shame it's so far from me.

I'm seriously tempted, even though it's a long way from me too.

RAF Transport Command? It DOES look good though.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

What an awesome model ! Looks great in that scheme as well. The guy is even wearing a cool shirt ! Just too bad the cameraman wasn't as steady as the pilot lol. The landing was rather abrupt, I bet the we passengers were complaining lol

Thanks for the post. Now I want to build a Princess
CANADA KICKS arse !!!!

I've always thought that the Academy 1/72 Boeing C-97 could be whiffed into a flying boat. The shoulder wing needs to fit into a box section. I did experiment with the Airfix BAe Nimrod wing section, might try again with the vacform wings instead.
