I think there#s more ex military hardware on display in the U.S. then the British armed forces possess in total  :banghead:

Great pics Capt, thanks
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Now I know that's probably faded paintwork but one done in Azure Blue might look nice ?

I was looking a that pic and thinking 'Something's wrong there, but I'm not sure what it is'.

Around 4-5 hrs later I got it, the arrows on the road are the wrong way round for my left side driving head.  ;D

Yes, a Neptune's a BIG aeroplane.

When the RAF had some to help out with MR tasks in the 50s the first ones came to Topcliffe where we were living at the time and they TOWERED over the Lancasters based there too.

And I thought the Lancs were massive too!  :o

In Canberra back in the early 1970s when they were doing big road works, they decided to build a nice new roundabout around City Hill, near Civic, before you go up Commonwealth Avenue across the bridge to Parliament House Hill.   They decided to copy a design they'd seen in the US.   Only problem was, once it was constructed at upteen million dollars, they realised they hadn't reversed the traffic islands, it was meant for left hand drive traffic!  So, when I visited as a kid, back in the early 1970s, it still had all the markings on the road and temporary traffic blocking barriers to force right hand driving Aussies to drive it the way they wanted it driven.  Next time, when I visited, everything had been fixed.  Ah, the beauties of an unlimited budget...   :banghead:

Gotta love the United States Navy.  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

"U.S. Navy officials have issued a statement acknowledging that one of its aircraft was used in the drawing of male genitalia in the sky over a county in Washington state.

Officials at the Naval Air Station Whidbey Island in northwest Washington told KREM 2 that one of their aircraft was used in the skywriting.

"The Navy holds its aircrew to the highest standards and we find this absolutely unacceptable, of zero training value and we are holding the crew accountable," the officials said in a statement. "
