Visited a few in north central Ohio this week.

T-33 at Wadsworth airport.

Huey and cannon, Medina, Ohio, at the VFW.  In the square in downtown Medina there was a smaller cannon, probably the ubiquitous 37mm antitank gun.  Didn't have a chance to photograph it.

Huey, Holmesville, Ohio VFW.  Also a Stuart tank.

I like the boots.

I did something similar with a pair of old motorcycle boots.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Went to the USAF Museum, saw a lot there, of course.  On the way home, found a couple of displays.

Huey at the VFW in Vandalia, Ohio. Not too far from the Dayton airport.

Also a howitzer there:

Sad Cessna 337 at New Carlisle airport.

Yeah, the views even on boring back roads out there are awesome.  Hardly need to go to the parks.

Cool shots of the A-6 and F-11!

I've driven from LA to Las Vegas with friends and that journey was a little boring if I'm honest. I've done Calgary to Vancouver by train and that was stunning in parts, although you can get a bit bored when it takes you 4 hours to pass alongside one lake  :o Is the bar open yet ?  ;) I'd just like to see the classic "cowboy" country that you see in so many John Ford/John Wayne cavalry films for real.

I suppose I'm used to the gentle rolling hills of the North and South Downs, which are beautiful in their own way.

After driving through about 200 miles of " Look at that ! " we laughed our butts off when we saw this sign. It was the follow on to a sign we saw at a trail head " Difficulty level : Difficult ". Interesting level ?

200 miles in the UK would get you half way from one end of England to the other  ;)
