F-105 at Amvets, Circleville, Ohio.  This one is just off a highway I've been down hundreds of times.  Just became aware of it recently.  I would guess it has been there 5-10 years.

Looks as if it has legs for walking on the ground.

She had some bad leaks and was listing/ sinking and close a few times in the last couple of years. It's great to see them putting money into keeping this great piece of history afloat !

Nice!

I stumbled on a tank in WV the other day, Captain Canada.  Hang on and I'll post it.

Looking for a museum in Princeton, WV, I found this- next to another museum.  A veteran's museum, worth a visit.  "Those Who Served War Museum", right downtown.  Seems to be closed for winter (but the janitor let me in.)

M47?

Ah, thanks.  Not a tank guy.  No markings on it.  Beautifully kept, though.

Stupid question Scoot. How does he see to drive ? Periscope ?
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Captain Canada, I happened to be in Durham, NC, and scoped out all the veterans' groups there.  No displays, nothing at all, not even antitank guns.  Went to American Legion and VFW in Durham, Chapel Hill, and Raleigh.  I hear there is a Huey somewhere but didn't see it.

Captain Canada

Strange eh ? You'd think with all of the bases there you'd see something !
