Magnificent!!    :o :o

Dude, it turned out so well! I love it...   outstanding write up to go with it. Colonial war..... yeah buddy...    ;D ;D

Very nice selection and number of pics, too.  Sometimes it's easy to "get lazy " and kind of skip over it. Glad you took the effort.

Thanks a lot, guys!! I'm glad to know y'all like it!
I honestly thought i was going to mess up somewhere, but i got lucky and it came out ok. The landing gear was my biggest fear besides the intakes, i snapped the front gear during the build, so i left it out till all the masking and painting was done. Glued it with Loctite's CA and it's as good as new.
The story is actually, at least, 90% accurate history, i just twisted it here and there to have the F-80C, instead of the F-84G, which i find very unattractive...
This one was also entered in the UAMF forum's Any type of whiffery GB, which ended last night, just 10 minutes after i posted the final pics and story, so, finished in less than 15 days, that means i'm almost ready for the 2017 One week GB... ;D

Thanks, guys! Glad you like it, i love the F-80, it's such a sleek design, even having straight wings. That's why i still want to build the mix of the SabreStar done by PACOPEPE, remember that one?

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Just, perfeito! :D

Now I have a question (say it in english or portuguese), did Portugal on your ATL joined the Pacific War? I know that sent volunteers to the Allies in Europe, but how about the Pacific?

And if we did, make one ;)

Muito obrigado!
This is an international nut-house so it's better to keep it in the common language. ;D
On this ATL, Portugal was in the same condition as it was in reality so, with the only troops ready to fight being a modest army of 50.000 men with old equipment and 60 obsolete aircraft for it's air force, Portuguese forces were only deployed to the European and North-African Theater of Operations, solely to respect the Windsor treaty.
It all started when the 1st FS of the Aeronáutica Militar(Pre-1952 PoAF, for those who don't know) was sent to England in July, 1940, to help out in the Battle of Britain. When the U.S. joined the war, there was the "Beat Hitler first" policy adopted by the allied command, and when the war ended in Europe, a lot of the American soldiers were redeployed to the Pacific, so there was no need for Portuguese troops to be involved in that TO.

After the BoB, i've got plans for 5 ramifications that extend to present and future days:

1- The one i'm currently working on(and closest to real events), which is, most of the PoAF equipment was American
2- Since they operated the Spits and Canes, they kept buying mostly British equipment throughout the years
3- The Portuguese aeronautical industry is modernized by the state, and the OGMA receives major funding from then on, to start building the first 100% Portuguese-made aircraft
4- Portuguese start buying French aircraft from 1952 onward
5- We buy Swedish SAABs until the end of time... ;D
These all come with the political and social distortions that may be needed to support said ATL...
From what i've read, the only Portuguese who fought in Europe were the Portuguese who were a part of the Spanish foreign Legion, who joined the German 250th Blue Division, in 1941. The only official Portuguese troops to fight with the allies were the men of the Portuguese army contingent stationed at Timor-leste. They fought the Japanese invasion of the island, alongside the Australians and Dutch. The first Portuguese Paratroop unit was formed in Australia, to be dropped behind Japanese lines to perform guerrilla operations against them.
This is where my ATL for Portuguese in the Pacific TO begins...
BTW, don't you build some of your ideas too? If you wanna see the rest of my PoAF whifs, it's all here: http://forum.modelismo-na.net/viewtopic.php?f=207&t=24428

EDIT: I forgot to mention the ATL where Portugal goes red...
