Yeah, the F-16 is sharp.

I found the Cobra and positioned it correctly on the map.  Laguna Army Airfield is apparently part of the proving ground.  And I found a bonus Huey, farther north on the field.

Scooter: man, I just put a whole bunch of listings on the map- now you gave me more!!!  ;D  I will get to them tonight or tomorrow.

Captain Canada

Great stuff guys ! I'm planning a quick tour around Buffalo and Niagara this weekend. The boy has a hockey tourney in Fort Erie, ON.

Stumbled across this one on accident. Almost missed it. I was looking at the beatimous Tweets when I saw something in the back ground  . . . .

This is at Sheppard AFB in Wichita Falls, TX.  That's definitely a Tweet on a pole back there. Seems like it's on one side or other of the runway so should be easily spotted on Google Earth.  (I'll try to find it myself when I return, for now I need to get back work outside on my yard before the sun sets. )

This stuff is like opening Pandora's Box.

I'm back now and looking for that tweet when I found THIS thing off Avenue J pretty close to the runways.

Check out the Warthog!!

Still looking for the Tweet. According to the info associated with the pic it was taken in 2009.  Maybe the satellite images are from before/after it was taken down or put up.  I'll keep looking. This is better than Where's Waldo?

Jackpot!!

Two for one bonus score!

There's not only a T-37 Tweet but a T-38 Talon, as well!

These two, with the prop plane (I can't identify it but I'm sure you can or someone can) on J makes three more to add to the Sheppard entry.

Cheers!

Great finds!  Yeah, poke around, especially at airports, and there is all kinds of interesting stuff.  I am adding those as we speak, and already had an F-4, F-100, F-105, and F-111 at Sheppard.  Go to 33.97183, -98.51006.  105 to the west, 100 to the east, 111 slightly SE of that and F-4 further south still (the Phantom does not show on Google Earth but someone has posted a pic of it.)

Captain Canada, I see three museums near Buffalo, of course.  No gate guards yet but there must be some; let me know what you find.

And another group at 33.97117, -98.50468.  T-37, T-38, F-16, F-15.  And a B-52 at  33°58'55.10"N  98°30'42.79"W

reddfoxx

Oh, and the prop plane is a Convair, but a C-131.

THAT DOES IT!!   This place is only 50 miles south of here so I'm road tripping the next time I have free money. The F-111 did it for me. I had no idea they had all this stuff.

You bet Mark ! I've got a route planned, leaving the hotel in Niagara Falls, ON, going to NYANG base and trying my luck, and then a circuitous route down from there, choppers, tank and jets ! Hope to find a few more in between. I'll make sure they are there before I post anything.

Have a great trip!  Looking forward to your finds.  Don't get your hopes up about the ANG base- they won't let even U.S. citizens anywhere near them without a security check well in advance.

Let me know next time you're down near Ohio and maybe we can go to the Air Force Museum.
