I love that the second Shooting Star and the Cobra(?) are crewed.

Yup, first thing I noticed about them

This is the CF-116 that I was involved with in redesigning the mounting pole (the fuselage was in my brothers fabrication yard for about a year).
They put a mannequin in the seat too. It's outside The Military Museum in Calgary.

Nice shots, Captain Canada!

And cool mounting post, Kitnut617.

I'm working by Watkins Glen now. I'll check the map but don't have time to travel.

There's a number of RCAF aircraft on posts like this, but the way it was attached inside the fuselages weren't very good. That's because the wind load on the wings was twisting the posts and the action was destroying the fuselages from the inside. I redesigned where the internal connection went which was a massive lug that the wing got bolted to.

I was going to stop at Hinsdale on my way back and see that beautifully painted F-4, but now they've asked us to depart at 4amso it will be dark out.

I visited the A-7 when we were in town.  It's striking.  The A-7 guys aren't thrilled with the markings, but it is sharp, and well cared for.

That's an F-94C, but without ANY wing tanks, isn't it? A most unusual configuration.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

That's what I want for the front yard - a Thud.
Mrs z has expressed concerns that it might be too large.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

The late Mrs_PR19 once decided that she'd like a Wessex in our front garden when she heard that the RAF were selling them off at bargain prices. Just for the hell of it I checked and found we COULD have actually afforded one, and it would have fitted in the front garden too (just....) but actually getting it to our house from St. Athan would have cost a FORTUNE!  :o

We didn't bother to check with the neighbours either.............  ;D
