De Havilland Aircraft Museum is shown in the wrong place. It is actually 2 miles south on the other side of the M25 beyond McDonalds, near the Arsenal and Watford Football Club training grounds.

RAF Croughton, actually a USAF communications base, has an F-100D and an F-105G on their gate, although it's difficult to see them from the road as they're quite a way back. Lat-Long 51.99647,-1.18964

RAF Benson has a plastic Spitfire PRXI on a pole by the gate. Lat-Long 51.61312,-1.08752

RAF Odiham has a Whirlwind HAR10 in camo as a 'guardian' but it's a LONG way inside the base, just near the Ops Centre in fact, so there's little chance of seeing it unless you can get on the base. Odiham used to have an ex-US Army Chinook, one of three sent to the UK prior to the RAF order, that was off base, but it wasn't there the last time I was, some 4 yrs ago. Lat-Long 51.24051,-0.94596

RAF Lossimouth has a Tornado GR4 on the gate, just visible from the road. The Shackleton AEW2 that used to be there has long gone sadly. Lat-Long 57.71065,-3.30759

Somewhat bizarrely a few miles south of Lossiemouth, just on the outskirts of Elgin, there's a Buccaneer S2B standing guard on a petrol station, which logically is called the Bucaneers Petrol Station! Lat-Long 57.66324,-3.31209

RAF Wyton has a Canberra PR9 XH170 (naturally...) right on the entrance. Lat-Long 52.34818,-0.12017

Those are just the ones I know off my head, but there's so few active RAF bases around these days there can't be many more.

I'd like to know how much surplus wound up in some oddball place. Like... "20 miles from civilization there is a "gate guard" out in a cow pasture" or something.

There has to be one or two oddities across the globe...

Alright, all caught up.  For now- I think the "gate guard and air park" section is going to keep me busy for years.

I added most of your tips and made a few corrections. Thanks for those- if I haven't been there, I often assume the location is correct.  Don't know why the de Havilland museum would be so far off. 

TheChronicOne: I love the T-28.  You should go see it.

The Rat: I can't find the F-94 near Erie; the coordinates are the same as one of the Cornwall planes.

Flyer: that is an... interesting sculpture... near Oodnadatta.  Can't find it; any more info?  What are those?  I would do something like that in my backyard if I could.  Speaking of, need to finish up since my wife and daughter are about to wake up.

I appreciate all your input.  Coordinates really help.  We now have 821 museums, 181 gate guards and air parks, and 48 other sites.  Wow.

A slightly unusual one is the Czech National Police Museum who have a Mil-2 helicopter in the grounds and various models of former Police aircraft inside the museum. Lots of motorbikes too!

The Finnish Air Force Training Air Wing was located in Kauhava from 1937 to 2014.

A park in the town currently has two display cabinets with trainer aircraft (Saab 91D Safir, Focke-Wulf Fw 44J Stieglitz, VL Pyry - and a Valmet Vinka coming when they are decommissioned) and a BA Hawk on a pole. The plan is to also move two Fouga Magisters, mounted on poles, from the former Air Force site to the park - and there is an option for a third display cabinet.
