There's a Wessex HC2, XR516, just inside the gate at RAF Shawbury. location 52.792687, -2.656130.

I know for sure because I passed right by it this morning en route to Telford from my daughter's place. She lives right on the base, handy.  ;D She's also The Best Air Traffic Controller in the RAF, not a lot of people know that. (but quite a few on here do..... ;D)

Nicked from here http://picssr.com/tags/xr516 it was dark when I went by.....

Also please note my Reply #85 above about RAF Croughton's F-105 and F-100D.

Rather lost in the comments after it is the fact that they're not there anymore and there are NO gate guards at Croughton any more.

Yep, PR19_Kit, I saw that they are gone  :-\

I will add the Wessex; I think that is one I have been looking for.  Some are too well camouflaged!  And congrats to your daughter.  Tough, important job.

The Rat, I found the MiG-21 at that base, apparently at the main gate instead of the air park:     22.85488, -82.51333
I see what you saw in the air park, plus an Mi-4, T-6, T-28, T-33, maybe a Twin Beech.  I added/corrected the other stuff you posted.

Just took another look, what I said was a MiG-17 actually looks more like a 19.

I see a 19 (silver, towards the back) and a 17 (camo, almost invisible up front.)  So, front row, left to right: T-33, A-26, MiG-17, probable T-28, probable Twin Beech.  Back row: MiG-19, Mi-4, possible MiG-27 under the tree, probable MiG-23, maybe an O-1 (did they have those?), probable T-6.

CFB Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, there are a few aircraft around 50.338731, -105.557586 One is a T-33, the yellow one is a Harvard, the white one may be another Harvard but it's not clear.

All added, thanks!  Captain Canada, I have been watching that thread and will check back.  Just today I passed a tank destroyer on a Sherman hull (don't remember the model) in Circleville, Ohio.  I go that way often and will get a picture when I can.

There's this one outside the USMC Proving Grounds Yuma main gate, and across the road is a display of armoured vehicle and surface to surface missiles

and outside the USMC base in Yuma there are a number of other jets.

And at the Palm Springs Air Museum there are some other gate guards, an F-14, some others and this one below

Cheers reddfoxx, just did a google search to find out what the place is called and found that it's the Yuma Proving Ground United States Army. Found some photos that show what is there.
