- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Thanks very much, folks.  I've slowed down lately, having found most of the museums.  Gate guards will take, well, forever, and are harder to find.  Plus, I've found a few museums while searching for gate guards.  Yes, TheChronicOne, please let me know if you come across those little places again.  Sometimes local historical societies will have interesting exhibits.  I stumbled on the Burbank Historical Society recently and was amazed by their Lockheed collection.  Makes sense that they'd have it, but I'll admit that Burbank makes me think more of television than aviation.

Wow great job and a great asset for us 'hunters' ! Cheers !

I'm glad it's useful.  I have a few big trips planned this year and have already used it. (Don't tell my wife...)

PS- I can pull it up on Google Maps on my phone.  Let me know if that works for you.  Not only can I look for nearby restaurants, I can look for nearby planes...

Hopefully I'm in the States latter this year and this will come in very handy  ;D

just had a look at the map  reddfoxx,  wow, that's a lot of sites, and all I can do is applaud your effort,
splendid job , just splendid.
the things you learn, give your mind the wings to fly, and the chains to hold yourself steady
take off and nuke the site form orbit, nope, time for the real thing, CAM and gridfire, call special circumstances.
wow, its like freefalling into the Geofront

Thanks, Steel Penguin!

Narses2, there's plenty of stuff from around the world on the map, so hopefully it's useful elsewhere, too.  Living in the U.S., I will admit to focusing some of my effort there, but I'm gathering sources and trying to enter stuff everywhere.

There is a Thunderbird missile at the gate to the former RAF Westcott, located on the A41 between Aylesbury and Bicester. Westcott was home to the Rocket Propulsion Establishment and the Thunderbird booster rockets were developed there.
The remains of the rocket testing sites is fascinating and involves a lot of concrete!
