I guess the topic says it all....Markings are for RAF 92 squadron (east India) based at Biggin Hill, March 1940.

There seems to be no English aircraft without hedgehog exhausts.....

It was just a great idea by Tomcatie.....Had one Regianne in the stash, had the time and needed one model to complete 11 models for the ESM show. Altough it took me till 3 (at night) to complete it for the show. Many still details have to be done...

Wow, great work David! Not sure what else has to be done. I really like the colour scheme.
Thanks!

Well that works well

The RAF actually had 300 on order along with 200 Ca 313's. As far as I know they would have all served in the Near/Far East but some would have undoubtedly ended up in the UK so it's not as far fetched as some might think.

The French also had Re's and Ca's on order and 2 Ca's were delivered prior to the Italian invasion.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Would look good painted as a boomerang!

I thought it had a bit of the early Republic aircraft about it, a bit like a micro-scale P-47 Thunderbolt or a miniature P-43 Lancer, or Seversky P-35.

That looks really good - & it nearly happened!

Yep, I've read that about the RAF and the Re.2000 order, so it's more believable than at 1st blush.

And very well done, too
Whatever.

That really works! I had no idea there was a real-world parallel.

I've never had a desire for one of these before now, but my stash of RAAF roundels is starting to call out to me...

It's quite remarkable what the British and in particular the French were looking at purchasing in 1939, early 1940.  Virtually nothing was out of bounds. I've got a book which has a photo of one of the Caproni's delivered to France. It was delivered just days before the Italian invasion.

The designer of the Re.2000 actually worked at Seversky/Republic before going back to Italy and joining Reggiane.

I thought I'd read that somewhere but wasn't certain. Thanks for confirming the partial memory
