Thanks guys. I'm chuffed with the overall effect but just don't look too closely at the finish of the model...

I like it, too. I also have a de-VTOL-ized Harrier on the project list - the A-4 donor parts are an interesting option, but mine will probably stick more closely to the original airframe (with a tailpipe, though).
A landing gear would have been nice, though, even though I see the problems of scratching and implanting something. That's also something I am uncertain of - probably something like a Tornado or Jaguar arrangement.

I had started considering gear options. I was looking to borrow some gnat gear and make it a "bit leggier". But it was a bit more surgery than I could cope with.

Yeah, landing gear im- and transplants are a scary thing - esp. when you have to put it in places where none was ever considered! That's one of the points that leaves the project on "idea" status here, too.  ;)
