Man, we should have cloned twenties. Jackson wouldn't have given a poo-poo.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Hobbes

Great stuff! I like the Tigercat, and you may have inspired me to rebuild the one I have with a proper paint scheme...

Another call for close-ups! You've built some interesting subjects, and clearly have the imagination to fit in around here.  ^_^
In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.

I have several more shelf-fuls of models, plus a bunch of Tigercats in "flyable storage", but I have been doing this since 1968 and have managed to keep many of them.

I built this What if Tigercat in 1977 - used the Monogram 1/72 kit and spliced in a second cockpit.  Premise was that the F7F (F-65 for USAF) was used in VN instead of the A-1 for search and rescue, CAS and helicopter escort.  This particular one is for night attack with a second crewman behind the pilot.

For most of these Tigercats (and I have about 20), various F-105 bits and pieces of decals were used.

More photos later - I just returned from a week-long trip to Birmingham, AL, and the wife has a number of "Honey-do" tasks for me.  Somehow posting photos and chatting on this wonderful forum do not align with her ideas of good things to do on a Saturday!!

Wow, that's one heavily-armed Tigercat. Looks good!

Attached is the first of several photos of some of my "What If" Tigercats.  Premise was that Grumman built thousands during WWII, and in Korea and Vietnam many were turned into attack aircraft used by the Navy and USAF in lieu of the A-1 Skyraider.

Two of these are USAF "jungle fighters" in cammo, and the long-winged one was an experiment to get more lifting power.

All of these Tigercat models were built in 1977 - 78, and I have hauled them around for all these years - like the real aircraft, the model is pretty rugged!!

Just another photo - some of my fleet.

Final one for now.  In the near future I am planning on lining up all 20 of them for a group shot, although it might be more than 75megs.

Sorry I hit the wrong button to send before I had attached the final Tigercat photo.  Let's see if I can get it right this time!!
