Cool! Beware of leopards!
;D ;D

Coincidentally, the next time I do a whiffy-camo scheme I plan to take inspiration from the animal kingdom. (Actually, I just remembered that I already made plans to make a Holestein cow painted P-47 so I'll probably just roll with that... lol)

What are the monkeys with the red bums and the blue noses?  Mandrils?

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Oh God, I dunno about all that but it could make a good scheme...   ;D ;D ;D

I saw one of PantherG's (I think it was... ) profiles that used a dog color scheme and I really like it.  This was maybe 5-6 months ago or so. I'm definitely thinking of trying that scheme. It's actually pretty simple looking so shouldn't be a problem to paint.

Why thank you!

It was inspired my Topographical maps!

Ohhhh.....I wonder if similar could be done based on OS maps - shading from green to brown with thin red lines delineating ?
Oh to be whiffing again :-(

Oi!  Didn't take me long to find, but it was closer to 9-10 months ago...

Sounds like a winner to me!  Lots of potential in maps... I've always liked maps anyway, as art, so.. why not?!

Give it a whirl, I dare ya!  I was pushing the very limits of my abilities doing the one I did but I imagine someone with more artistic leanings could really make something fantastic.

Two in a row I've remembered to post on time:

Ain't no story. It's a post-war Navy P-51 on floats, serving in the Korean war as a rescue craft.

For once, I didn't plan it, but this last picture seems to be the best.

What can I say..... I'm thrilled with it. These things always look so much better in person especially considering my crappy camera coupled with my crappy photography skills. I mean.... this thing looks like something out of "Flipper."  ;D

As much as I whined, this truly was a fun build.  <_<

Thanks guys!!! Who doesn't want an all blue Navy Mustang?!?!  Turned out better than I thought it would and for that I am grateful. This was, aside from the Funstrating float building process (these struts are so thin and the connection points near microscopic in places) a breeze to build. Definitely will go with a one color full-wrap around the next time I attempt a one day build.

I like the US navy dark blue a lot and it sure looks good on the Mustang, i can see myself build one in that scheme.

My Next Mustang will be the scheme swap with a Viper... I just can't seem to get my hands on everything I need. No rush though I guess.

Nice... What do you need?

Need all the transfers. I have the kits I just don't have modern USAF viper markings and I'm not sure the blue nose stuff I have is viable. The kit for this mustang was the Blue Nose version but them transfers are something like 50 years old. (and.... I have temporarily misplaced them . . .. .  .HMMMMMM.....  )

Actually, I need to grab my Viper kit.... it came with Norweigan markings but I can't remember if the sheet came with alternate USAF markings or not. Need to find this blue nose sheet too and see how good they look. On second thought I MIGHT have the stuff I need but I kind of doubt it.

Well, you know i've got a bunch of Vipers in the stash so let me know exactly what you need and i'll have a look.
